Olubunmi Eteh was chased out for corruption, what better way to nullify the assumption women can't be trusted with power than getting Mulikat Akande-Adeola (a woman of probity) to reverse that notion?

My advise is that Nigerian youths should leave politics alone. It won't help the youths. Let them kill themselves juggling for power and Money. Its only in Nija that youths discuss politics more than anything even more than their careers in life. This politicians are very wicked. They make friends today and the next day, they are enemies. A national leader and former chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, has said President Goodluck Jonathan is marginalising the Yoruba in all constitutional appointments in the country.

He also pointed out that the president had not hidden  his disdain for Yoruba leaders, who have any views contrary to his own.

Akande said this on Wednesday at the inaugural lecture of the Dauda Adegbenro Foundation, in honour of the late Chief Dauda Adegbenro, a former Premier of the Western Region, in Abeokuta.

Akande, who was the chairman on the occasion, in his speech titled, ‘Adegbenro fought against impunity’, noted that no administration had disrespected the Yoruba nation like Jonathan’s.

Unlike the late politician and statesman, Akande noted that the current administration at the centre promoted impunity and imposed unwanted leaders on the people.

Tracing the history of imposition of unwanted leaders on the people by the Federal Government to early 60s, which he said led to the ‘Operation We tie‘ crisis in the Western Region, Akande said the nation needed politicians in the mould of Adegbenro to fight the emerging impunity in governance.

He said, “We are back in similar era of using the regime of impunity in Jonathan’s Federal Government to impose unwanted individuals as leaders in each of the states of Yoruba land.

“It will not be an overstatement to say therefore, that we now require many more Dauda Adegbenros to lead Yoruba’s protest against Jonathan’s regime’s impunity once again in Yorubaland.”

“Apart from marginalising the Yoruba in all constitutional appointments of his government, Jonathan’s trait has always been to persecute the Yoruba leaders, whom he perceived to have contrary views to his own.”

My friend just shut up. This is Nigeria where the rich get richer and the poor like u are given crumbs to kill youselves for. U are here calling God when I'm sure u do not know God in any way! Dont U ever bring God into the issue of dirty politicians, APC and PDP. These guys dont give a hoot about u, ur family and ur future. Tambuwal started playing the music, he should as well put on his dancing shoes.

Why cry over spilt milk. Tambuwal cannot deny he has not received his sack letter. Tambuwal decamped on the basis that their is division in the PDP however, there is a subsisting court judgement that says there is no division in the party. What the house of reps leadership have done is to use the police to enforce the judgement and the larger part, the constitution. As it stands, Tambuwal is not even a member of the house of reps.

Kudos to the PDP strategists, they scored big time on this.

The question we should be asking now is: who will be the next deputy speaker, Emeka Ihedioha is almost a goner!

The defacto deputy speaker would have been Bros Yakubu Dogara but patience they say, is a virtue. Hon Dogara decamped to the APC before his day of upliftment.

At last, the speakership returns to the southwest. APC, Bola Tinubu shame on you!

What better way to nullify the shambolic and lacklustre reign of Etteh than to appoint a woman of probity like Mulikat, APC may have problems with gender equality but the PDP doesn't. Anyway no need debating this because she already has the job, deal with it.
