Abuja - Dr Doyin Okupe, the Senior
Special Assistant to the President on
Public Affairs, said on Friday that
President Goodluck Jonathan,
remains the most performing
president the country has had since
independence.
Okupe said this at the Public Affairs
Forum held in Abuja.
The four-day forum was organised
under the auspices of Okupe’s office
to highlight the achievements of the
Jonathan-led administration.
Okupe said that although previous
Nigerian leaders performed well
within the circumstances they found
themselves, none of them achieved
half of what President Jonathan have
achieved in four years.
The presidential aide described as
"nonsense" claims that the
Transformation Agenda of the
President existed only in the media.
"It is nonsense to say that the
Transformation Agenda of Jonathan
existed in the television. We have
not spoken about what he has done.
We are going to overwhelm Nigerians
during the campaign."

He said it was regrettable that not
much had been done to sell the
good performance of the Jonathan`s
administration to Nigerians.
Okupe, however, held that past
Nigerian leaders contributed
immensely to the development of
the country to their best abilities as
each of them recorded his own
achievement.
He said that the Jonathan-led
Federal Government would showcase
its achievements to Nigerians during
the presidential campaign for 2015.
This, he said, would convince the
people that Jonathan remains the
best option for the country in the
years to come.
He, however, advised Nigerians to
shun the antics of the opposition,
saying that in spite of their criticism,
they had not told Nigerians what
they would offer, if given the
opportunity to govern.
"This election will be a ‘no contest’
affair. We are telling the world what
Jonathan has done. We will not stop
until well beyond February. 2015,"
he said.
Also speaking, the Minister of
Transport, Sen. Idris Umar,
presented the ministry's
achievements in the last four years
during the event with the theme
"Jonathan`s administration: Four
impactful years''.
He said the resuscitation and
modernisation of the Nigerian
Railway system had reached an
advance stage.
The minister highlighted various
stages of work on new and existing
rail lines in different parts of the
country, many of which, he said,
would be completed by the end of
the year.
He stated that the Jonathan-led
administration had repositioned the
Nigerian port system in line with
global best practices.
The administration, he said, had also
increased the use of inland
waterways and enhanced maritime
safety and security.
The minister said that the
administration had also improved
the inter-model coordination of the
Nigerian transport system and
enhanced private sector
participation in transportation in the
country.
"These achievements have certainly
impacted positively on the
actualisation of the Transformation
Agenda of Mr. President to the
overall benefit of the Nigerian
economy and the citizens," he said.

This must be the most stupid message from Dr Okupe ever. Mubi and Gombe are still fresh and he had the guts to throw adulations at the most indecisive Leader since independence. What business does the President have attending Bayelsa PDP Ward Congress when innocent lives are being lost at Mubi because of the lax in our Military watchfulness due to the immature announcement of a purported ceasefire agreement by the Chief of Defence Staff. Someone needs to be punished for this false news.

This is not the time for Praise singing or electioneering jamboree. It is time to sit down, look at the probable locations where these puckish insurgents may plan to strike again, declare total war and end this mess. We all recollect that there was improvement in the warfare tactics of our Military before they were called to sit-down-and-look.

Okupe and his ilk are the worst set of aides anyone can have. They are completely insensitive or inhuman to the plight of Nigerians. They should remember that those in the affected ravaged North of the country are Nigerians and humans regardless of who is responsible for this havoc.

How did we end up with learners in government? Obj should always be ashamed for empowering and engineering a feckless leader on us. There obviously would have been better VPs with proven track record to support Yaradua. In a bid for Obj, to clean his own steps, he landed Nigeria in a mess!

This is another big lie to confuse the under 35 generation. Gowon was between 33 and 40 years old and Head f State when Nigeria built 450, 000 kilometres of roads, bridges and highways in just a few years. Before all that, during the first republic, comprehensive free education and the building of the largest middle class in the black world by Obafemi Awolowo who also achieved the first TV station in Africa. The northern region government achieved unbelievable agricultural development. On the military side, after Gowon's overthrow, the Murtala/Obasanjo regime continued Gowon' s developmental pace with added focus on corruption, achieving growth rates of 11% and more, Nigerian shipping line was the largest in the third world, Nigerian airways one of the best, all refineries, petrochemical plants, steel plants and fertilizer plants were built . Even the Shagari regime did more for industries and defence than GEJ. IBB overthrew the Buhari regime and with the connivance of the western world completely destroyed Nigeria.
That is the story kids, Uncle Doyin has been lying to you.
Nigeria was better governed than at any time in history till IBB came in. Jona does not even come close to the first four in terms of good governance and is well known as the least intelligent president we have ever had.

Instead of lanenting over jonathans failure, look a little deeper and realise this okupe niggga might just be right. We have never been blessed with a creadible visonary leader since independence. Who do you want to name? Buhari? Does counter corruption record make you a credible leader? Everywhere I go people keep saying obj is better than jonathan, what position dis he leave the military. How much did he spend on security? Did ebele meet a fortified and formidable army? Obj had 8 years to light the whole country, if we can't call him failure number one what right have we to insult ebele?
I could go on and on.

Come 2015 my vote won't count not because of election rigging but there no candidate that can turn this country around. I will be given the option of voting in two mediocrites, inother words my vote dosent count, the election dosent count.
