Mr Man, there is a very high probability that Nigeria could have been a much better country with better citizens and governance without Niger Delta oil. We probably could have been exporting cattle to the rest of the world and earning enough for individual farmers and cattle rearers to drive the same car.

Oil made us lazy and gave us the desire to be rich without doing anything.

I personally don't like it when people from other region think that others cannot lead the country. Why so much hatred for GEJ? Is it because he is from the south south? what if he was from Kano, will any of this useless almajaris or even the Yorubas hate him this way. All this ranting is just because the rest of the country hates anyone from the south south or south east. No wonder the senseless killings of IGBO in the north and Yorubas never condemned that act. Everyone irrespective of tribe and religion deserves a chance & support to lead this nation. It is not the exclusive right of any region please.

He might not have done well as we are always made to understand, but you can rule out the fact that he has also done well in some areas apart from security and tackling corrupt officials. He is not the worst president we've had. OBJ's government was adjourned the most corrupt during his tenure, did you call for his head? Over 16 billion dollars on power sector which ordinarily would have improved electricity supply in Nigeria, do you have electricity in your home today. It was a total fraud. Ministry of petroleum was under him (OBJ) yet we had serious chaos in the petroleum sector, he never build 1 refinery for the 8 years he was there. Did you call for his head? No. GEJ decided to privatize the power sector because the decay was abysmal. what happened to all abacha loot that was returned during OBJ's tenure?

"Insecurity every, GEJ is to be held responsible" that statement resonates everywhere in the country today by people who don't even have any idea on how to solve that same problem. Who were the people who ran to amnesty international to accuse GEJ of genocide when he flooded the north east with the military and declared state of emergency in 3 northern states? Are they not the northern elders who today cry and shout that GEJ is incompetent.

The much you can do as a human being is to support him so that he can deliver. Stop sending almajaris to bomb the north and then turn around to cry insecurity in the nation and blame GEJ. If you can push a man forward towards his goal, don't pull him down. GEJ means well for this country.

He should drive himself, without any security detail, through the streets of Sokoto if he truly sees himself as the people's choice. Only then will I agree that Tambuwal is a credible leader that is different from the lot. Driving himself from the government reserved quarters to his office, which is just a stone throw away, amidst the tight security that has been provided in the area by the same government he's fighting is not enough reason to be called the people's choice.
