Terrorist or beloved Leader? You decide
What do you think of when you hear the name Colonel Gaddafi? Tyrant? Dictator? Terrorist? Well, a national citizen of Libya may disagree but we want you to decide.

Ruling the country for for 41 years until his demise in October 2011, Muammar Gaddafi did some truly amazing things for his country and repeatedly tried to unite and empower the whole of Africa. So despite what you’ve heard on the radio, seen in the media or on the TV Gaddafi did some powerful things that were not very reminiscent of a vicious dictator. Here are ten things Gaddafi did for Libya that you may not know about…
1. In Libya a home is considered a natural human right.
In Gaddafi’s green book it states: ” The house is a basic need of both the individual and the family, therefore it should not be owned by others”. Gaddafi’s Green Book is the formal leader’s political philosophy, it was first published in 1975 and was intended reading for all Libyans even being included in the national curriculum.

2. Education and medical treatment were all free.
Under Gaddafi’s reign Libya could boast one of the best healthcare services in the Arab and African world. Also if a Libyan citizen could not access the desired educational course or correct medical treatment in Libya they were funded to go abroad.

3. Gaddafi carried out the worlds largest irrigation project.
The largest irrigation system in the world also known as the great manmade river was designed to make water readily available to all Libyan’s across the entire country. It was funded by the Gaddafi government and it said that Gaddafi himself called it ”the eighth wonder of the world”.

9. Libya had It’s own state bank.
Libya was the only country in the world to have a bank owned by the state meaning they were able to give loans to citizens at zero percent interest by law and they had no external debt.

10. The gold dinar
Before the fall of Tripoli and his untimely demise Gaddafi was trying to introduce a single African currency made of gold. Following in the foot steps of the late great pioneer Marcus Garvey who first coined the term ”United States of Africa”. Gaddafi wanted to introduce and only trade in the African gold Dinar – a move which would have thrown the world economy into chaos.
The Dinar was widely opposed by the ‘elite’ of today’s society and who could blame them. African nations would have finally had the power to bring itself out of debt and poverty and only trade in this precious commodity. They would have been able to finally say ‘no’ to external exploitation and charge whatever they felt suitable for precious resources. It has been said that the gold Dinar was the real reason for the NATO led rebellion, in a bid to oust the outspoken leader.

He never allowed shell UK n chevron US to operate in libya.

Ghadaffi was a great leader. Libyans allowed themselves to be deceived by the west and indeed they are regretting it.

That brings us to western media reporting of the situation in Nigeria. Always trying to instigate Nigerians against GEJ.

The gradual transforming of the Nigeria economy by GEJ is getting at them. They want him out by all means.

So the idea is connive with his opposition and sell lies to the public.

We can not be deceived like the Libyans.

#GEJ till 2019.

People are beginning to see the good things Gaddafi did for his people and country. Prior to his fall and demise in 2011 before the uprising, the Western media were awashed with news about Gaddafi, labeled him a Brutal dictator and a Terrorist, ruling for one single purpose: To Terrorize His People. The West succeeded. Gaddafi the leader who ruled for 40 years is no more. Now that his's dead, the country is buried in turmoil and conflicts all over the place. Tribal wars here and there. Libya today is a shadow of its former glory.

This is what happens when War Entrepreneurs and Conflict Merchants use lies and decied to topple great leader they hate. They use the sympathy of activists, right groups and gullible media houses to achieve their nefarious plan. The same evil machinations is currently being applied in Nigeria. To achieve one purpose: Regime Change through whatever means possible including violence and bloodshed.
No Evil Plan Fashion against GEJ shall prosper.

Like Ghadaffi, like Thomas Sankara

To make your nation truly great, you have to have the wisdom and the courage to do the right thing. One of the right thing, is to introduce policies that will emancipate your people. However, by doing this, u will certainly incur the wrath of the West. The West are hypocrites. The really don't want Africa to develop and they're always interested in Africa having puppets they can control as leaders.

When u don't support the West, they find a way to get u out of power. They threaten u with sanctions, use their powerful media against you, push mighty lies against u and help plan a coup against you or kill you. The West stand for only one thing - selfishness.

If the West should let or leave Africa to develop, whr will they sell their finished products? How do they get cheap resources that they have always sought after in Africa?

If you know the role Muammar Gaddafi played in the liberation of Angola, supporting the MPLA as against Western backed FNLA and UNITA, then you will know why he was killed. He also supported other communist liberation movements in Southern Africa like the SWAPO in Namibia. This was why Jacob Zuma said he would offer him asylum if he asked. If you know when Murtala Muhammed of Nigeria who also supported the liberation group, MPLA was killed, then you will know how long the West had been looking for Gaddafi.

While all these may sound good for a 40yrs leadership. We are quick to praise his development strides without taken cognisanse of the emotional and psychological state of the Libyans. It's on record how Ghaddafi and his children virtually runs the affairs of the people. How the people had very little say or contribution on issues concerning the gov't or country at large. The freedom of expression was almost zero as any utterance against the gov't is met with steel opposition and outright punishment. The Libyans were actually living in zoo brutally runs by Ghaddafi's family. Sometimes, free education, health, houses and may be money cannot replace freedom of expression which to any right thinking person is more valuable than all the gold in Congo. It is also a fact that most terrorist acts were sponsored and supported by Ghaddafi since he had so much wealth at his disposal to throw around. We are also quick to forget that his singular dream was to make Africa an empire ruled and governed by him, it was seen in his middlesomeness in issues concerning African countries. Sometimes, excess power and wealth unchallenged and undemocratic could result to excess rascality. The case of Ghaddafi was good riddance to a heap of rubbish. What is happening in Libya now is not uncommon to any country that just come out of internal crisis. Expectedly, those loyal to Ghaddafi will stop at nothing to distabilise the new gov't but only time shall tell.

Aptly summarized.

Let's now see how Libya will come out of the political quagmire they have allowed themselves to be entangled in. I'm sure they will live to regret their mistakes.

Anyway, no prophet is appreciated in his time.

Aome of "the crimes" you've written against him are product of West's propaganda to justify ousting him.

Let's assume for a moment that he was all you wrote up there, arming opposition against him was definitely the wrong way to remove him. The truth is that he was just too powerful and influential for the Western world and they were ready to remove him by all means necessary irrespective of the damage and loss (revenue and humans) to Libya.

The fact remains that the so-called First World will continue to do anything and everything to make sure that no country in Africa is completely independent in the true sense of the word.

A delve into history proves that shining lights in Black Africa are never allowed by the Western Powers to finish their liberating jobs. Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, Tubman, Sanni Abacha, M.K.O Abiola, and now Mohmar Gadaffi all paid the price with their lives. Really, when you watch BBC,.CNN, Fox News and read Times Magazine too much you may want to call these bright minded liberators despots, misfits, oppressors but deep down, they are hardcore believers in 'Africa Must Be Liberated' cool
