Members of the legacy Party of APC protested at the Ilofa residence of Senator Bukola Saraki and at the Government Secondary School, near Maraba Ilorin for excluding legacy member, in all the elective position in Kwara Central.


Isiaka Tonyi Bara, an aspirant for Federal House of Representatives from Ilorin, West and Asa Federal Constituency who spoke for other protesters said “We the old members of APC who are being called members of the Legacy party because we are the profound members of APC.

“We have leader that we believe and we trust and have confidence in, Senator Bukola Saraki.

There is no legacy member, in all the elective position in Kwara Central. This is unfortunate and we are saying no to that selection. We are saying no to intimidation and to injustice.

They deliberated picked some legacy members among us who are not educated, people who can not hear what they are discussing in that committee and they were able to perpetrate only their members.

Leaders explained to us when we met with the leader that the committee gave him 3 people from each constituency and he picked the people recommended and requested for, except one candidate that Alhaji Lai Mohammed begged for in Oro that is aspiring for the House of Assembly.
