Aaahh sweet memories, those were the days I used to enjoy lurking around the auto section, laughing at the antics of Fotodaddy, Jenju, NKC, Inspired, Vipermen, etc Now this place just sucks and reminds me of

I believe that this is not a fund raising but an appreciation which is optional as the initiator indicates in his post, sense of reasoning varies with time and everybody is entitled to his own opinion, otherwise Mr. Osime (man from PH)wouldn't 'd paid less for 2004 corolla as a compensation.
In the same vain, offerings and sacrifices made to God do not mean that God is in need of any but act of appreciation.

If I were seun I would either take the offer or bless another person with it, if it has anything to do with ego, then let him publicly give it out to a needy.
I strongly believe that he who stays close a chief will surely perceive the odor of his teeth.
Opportunities are meant for a purpose, after all there is someone out there that needs his help.

Is a pity, but both can also be accommodated since appreciation is quite diff from sympathy.

At least 3 people have shown great interest in the 2 Appreciation Muranos. I will make a decision on who the lucky buyer(s) will be, sometime in December. Our offer to Seun remains active until December 15, after which I will sell the car to one of nairaland's interested buyers if Seun does not want the car.

As Jenju started in this post, this section of Nairaland has gone thru sanitization which is nice for both sellers & buyers as integrity and confidence has grown. I bought a car shortly before coming across this site and I wish I had known about this site and met pple like Jenju, Babaisme, Zion & others (sorry abt the limit in names - these are the ones that strike my memory immediately) who have displayed a high level of integrity in their dealings.

Jenju isn't offering the car directly to Seun, it's open for sale (and no one has shown an interest for his offer price) and the 'special discount' is exclusively for Seun (if he's open to it).

Seun, thank you for this medium of communication and trade that you've created and to our 'dealers', thanks for steppinig up the game and saving a lot of Nigerians from the shylock dealers who are gradually understanding the rules of the game as conducted by Nairalanders,

There is a very strong indication that Seun will not purchase any of the Muranos. Both cars will be sold after the 15th of December, just in time for the new year. May God continue to bless our prized customers and potential ones as well.

My experience was just that i’d love to have had more detailed information about what i was getting then which nairaland would have offered me (either without asking or on request) with what i’ve seen on the site. What I got isn’t bad at all, but it wasn’t EXACTLY what i asked for.

@ igwe 1: i come to the autosection for a lot of reasons. 1 is to relax (believe it or not), another is to shop for my friends or see the deals i could get involved in as I’m looking fwd to selling one of my old reliable. Another is for the insightful comments and reasoning of people of which you’re one of the few at the top of the chain. Thanks bro

@HOLLASLYD, In case you missed it, these Muranos are for promotions and are priced at giveaway tokens. A 2004 Murano SL with leather sells for well above N3million in most places in Nigeria, unless it is accidented or has a salvage title. N1.9million will get you a nice Totota Corrolla but not one of these Muranos.

We conducted business, based on trust and professionalism without having ever met each other. I thank you for coming all the way to Abuja to meet me, after I left Lagos. Due to the number of people seriously interested in this promotion, I am increasing the number of Muranos available to 3. At this point I will assume that Seun will not take us up on our offer.

All the people who have shown interest will be notified how to contact our Lawyers/Accountants for payment. The first 3 to conclude arrangements with our accountants will get the cars. Next step will be to specify color and any other assessories they want to add to the cars.
