My brother, you are preaching to the choir. All my cars have VINs and I even provide free carfax/autocheck reports. The advert here is a promotion giveaway rather than your typical sales ad. I thought your read the thread. If you are interested in this particular promotion send me an email just as other potential buyers have done tikola70@hotmail.com

I will delete my initial response to you because I misunderstood you. Please browse through my other postings and sales to get a better idea of our methods.

Mr Cosjo,

Please note that participants in the promotion will give me their specs, such as color, and after an agreement is reached, I proceed to purchase the particular car they need at the auction if,  we don't have it on hand.  That is why no VINs are posted for this promotion. Please read the very first post on this thread and the details on the promotion is clearly stated. If you are interested in the promotion, send me an email as others have done, and lets discuss it.

Its impossible to change history and thankfully, Seun does not delete posts. Please search for jenju and look through our sales. there's nothing to hide here. Our success is based on integrity, honesty, and great customer service period.

I also noticed that you were asking Igwe on another post whether I bribed him to discredit other dealers.  Please note that there is no reason to do such a thing, the market is too big to be cornered by a single dealer.

I am just now getting back to business in 2009. Please join me in making the year a bigger success for all of us. Let's be positive and give each other a helping hand instead of attempting to drag each other down.

Cheers,
J

Hmmmmm, maybe I read too fast, maybe English is not my first language or maybe my memory is playing up but did the promo not state 3 people could each buy a 2004 Murano SL for N1.9m+clearing? and did Jenju not provide us with a list of at least 4 or 5 individuals that he would choose from?

Jenju is now asking you to send an e-mail if you are interested in the offer so what happened to those people? Is it really possible that Jenju is having difficulty finding 3 Nigerians to take him up on this fantastic offer? Surely not

Someone should pls provide a transformer, we need to shed more light on this situation.

The following nairalanders:

[li]texazzpete[/li]
[li]jidewura[/li]
[li]simmy[/li]
[li]hbid[/li]
[li]Ukpekeson[/li]

showed initial interest. I have been in communications with them on details via email and telephone.  They can choose to reveal  the details of our communications if they wish. If and when anyone of them takes the deal to fruition, I'd be glad to post more information.

If you too are interested, the offer is still on, but note that the offer was announced last year when it cost N120 to purchase the dollar. If you or anyone else wants to participate now, you'll need to make the appropriate price adjustments.  I think that would be the fair thing to do, since the naira has lost about 30% of its value since November.  This promotion will last until the end of February.  If no one takes the offer because your money is now worth 30% less (thanks to Soludo), so be it.  I have no regrets whatsoever.

Lookout for 2009 offers soon.

Cheers,
J
Re: 2004 Murano SL (leather) N1.9m Only! Nairalanders Year End Appreciation/Giveaway by Nobody: 6:37pm On Jan 30, 2009
Okay, if my powers of deduction are working properly then I guess we can conclude that:

1) The promo has (so far) been frustrated because the aforementioned gentlemen did not follow through on their initial interest when the exchange rate was N120 and the promo could be executed at N1.9m.

2) In reality, the price is no longer N1.9m, having fallen a victim to the exchange rate.

If the above conclusions are right, perhaps this thread can be allowed to die a natural death or the title could be modified to reflect the current exchange rate ( N150 a safe bet?) or perhaps you could advertise the price in USD.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of your inquiries, but you sound quite reasonable to me and your conclusions above are sensible.  Some of the people listed are actually in negotiations for other cars that will cost N1.9 - N2.2 in todays naira. Note however that, even using N150 as the conversion factor, the car will still cost at least 400k - 700k  less than the current market value.  That is why I am leaving the promotion open until the end of February.

Please be on the lookout for our 2009 ads that will be coming in the next few weeks.  I will ensure that the advertized prices on preorders reflect the current exchange rate. Thus, a footnote on an Advert. may read "The N7million price assumes that  $1 can be purchased for not more than N150"

Thanks for your input and maturity.

Fellow Forumites, at the beginning of the year, I announced that the rules of engagement in the auto section will change for the better. We set out to market good, clean, cars with concomitant impeccable customer service.  You, brothers and sisters, rewarded us with loyalty, trust, and patronage.

We all can see that our forum has been sanitized, VIN numbers for the most parts are displayed by dealers, many dealers even disclose that their cars have salvage titles, etc etc.

To show my own personal appreciation, I hereby announce the sale of two 2004 Nissan Murano SL (with leather and DVD) for only N1.98million  or N1.9million without DVD.  As usual, the cars will have no prior accidents, no salvage titles, and will be backed up by VIN reports.  This is the least I can do to show my appreciation.

To be honest, if Seun himself, the owner of this website, wants to pick up one of these cars, its his for N1.5million.

This offer is not open to Resellers and dealers. Show interest by sending an email to tikola70@hotmail.com

The buyer custom clears him/herself (approx N300k).  More details and pictures in 24-48 hours.

LETS DO IT AGAIN    smiley

My brother,

Please go and shop around and find out what the market value of a 2004 Murano SL . . .

If this is/was a giveaway to show appreciation to forumites, why is it being affected by the issue of falling naira undecided

When the rate of naira was favourable, was this passed onto the costumers undecided And these ain't even normal customers, but ones you wanted to show appreciation to

My sister,

Why did you misinterprete my compliments na?  Anyway, no love lost.

As to your question, the answer lies with Soludo.  The naira has lost 30% of its value within 1 month or so, I have to buy dollars with the naira paid for my cars. Its only fair to make adjustments. Even with the adjustments the cars are still priced below market value.

My dear sister, a 2004 Murano SL costs at a minimum N3million in any market in Nigeria if it is not accidented or had a salvage title. An honest look at my promotion will reveal a great deal, nothing more.

My sister, please keep on keeping it real,  we are here to make one another better off, or at least  - one would hope so. You are no drama queen, but an African Queen! Period smiley

Love ya,
J

Due to the "December rush", we are looking at a January delivery on these cars. Send me an email with your phone number and we can discuss details. The cars are still in the USA, they have to be preordered. Deal must be concluded by December 15th to guarantee January delivery.

Cheers,
J

At least 3 people have shown great interest in the 2 Appreciation Muranos. I will make a decision on who the lucky buyer(s) will be, sometime in December. Our offer to Seun remains active until December 15, after which I will sell the car to one of nairaland's interested buyers if Seun does not want the car.

May God continue to bless our prized customers and potential customers.

Cheers,
J

Thanks for the suggestion. My reason for stopping at 3 is really because, these cars are being sold below cost, which I am willing to bear for three nairalanders. I am however not able to go beyond those three cars at the stated price. Please note that 2004 Muranos that are non accidented, without salvage/junk titles, not flooded, and without odometer issues, are sold for above N3million in most markets in Nigeria! This is what I am offering for N1.9! It is indeed a giveaway.
Let me take this opportunity to wish you and other forumites a Very Merry Xmas, Happy Sallah, and a wonderful NEW YEAR.

@Busy_body, note from your 4th item below
I will post pictures, VINs, and even Carfax/Autocheck reports of the Muranos selected, by the buyers

Pray tell, how am i supposed to post VINs  of cars when the people who have shown interest have not taking the interest to their conclusions?  As stated earlier the deal is still available for interested parties - until end of February. The only way to prove to you that the promotion is real is for you or any other buyer to come forth and take the deal - simple. In all honesty, if the naira wouldn't have lost 30% of its value within 1 month, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Nothing will stop our success as long as we maintain our customary honesty and integrity. We have  several happy customers to show for  it. If its a crime to try to offer a great deal in appreciation, then the verdict is guilty.

Our 2009 advertizements will be available shortly. be on the lookout.

Mr Cosjo,

You know the saying, no money, no deal. I can't force people to buy. When I post cars, several potential buyers show interests, but the sale goes to whoever has the capacity to buy. I have no control over that capacity. Four of the users including Ukpekeson, are regular posters on nairaland. Perhaps you can send them an email and ask them why they haven't concluded the deal. All I can tell you is that no one made a deposit on the said cars and was turned away.
