Just two weeks after the management of Dangote Cement made announced a 40 per cent price slash on Cement from N1,700 to N1,000 across the country, expectations of consumers of the product are being dashed as the product still sells between N1,600 and N1,400 in major markets.

there are two variants of cement. 32.5 and 42.5
the former is not used for building. its the latter that us being used. the 42.5 which is being used for general building construction is sold from the plant at 1304 excluding transport. the one sold at 1050 from the plant is the 32.5 variant.

in a nutshell, don't expect to buy cement at any price less than 1400. #fact

It is expected that the prices will crash gradually. There are still many stocks of the 1500 bags in store that need to be sold now. They can't sell those ones for a loss
