Good question, they tried but they got a few things wrong too. It's human to err.

E.g, Zik and Awo had the chance to govern after that 1959 elections but they couldn't unite.

Both were strategising politically.

So Zik had to work with the Northern party people with whom he had little in come.

Imagine a govt involving such brilliant minds.
Of course I can say this with the benefit of hindsight.
