Eye witness reports reaching me are that for the second day running unscrupulous one-way drivers have killed someone crossing the Lagos Abeokuta Express Way. The spate of killings along this axis has increased as cars and okada motorbikes trying to beat the evening traffic simply join the other lane and drive against oncoming traffic from the other lane.

The other day, a husband and wife coming back home were mowed down by a car that quickly sped away (as usual), leaving their children orphaned. Government should do something about this as almost everyone in this area knows a neighbor or friend who has been mowed down by these unscrupulous elements.
