BREAKING: One Day Before Tenure End, Senate Passes 46 Bills In 10 Minutes by Monogamy: 3:07pm On Jun 03, 2015
The Senate on Wednesday passed 46 bills into law in less than 10-minute period.

Vanguard reports that such a quick passage of bills, all introduced by Senator Ita Enang, generated furious reactions among other senators.

It was reported that the uproar continued despite the intervention of the Senate president David Mark.

The president of the Senate was said to have told those unsatisfied with the development to come up with their names and signatures for consideration tomorrow, the next legislative day.

The Senate passed the 46 bills just a day before the end of its four-year term, Premium Times reports, adding that today’s session lasted for five hours.

Interestingly, in the past four years the National Assembly had managed to pass only about 106 bills.

While more details are still being expected, Nigerians have already started dropping comments on social media

hmmm.

Ita Solomon Enang (born 23 August 1962) is a Nigerian politician who represented the Itu and Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011. He served three terms as a member of the House of Representatives. His election to represent the Ibiono Ibom/Itu Federal Constituency in April 2007 was nullified in December 2007 by an Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Uyo.He was eventually reelected on 20 January 2010.

Enang worked toward abolition of the onshore/offshore dichotomy, ensuring that his state of Akwa Ibom became the highest earner of oil revenue in the country. As the federal representative for Itu/Ibiono, Enang was appointed Chairman of the House Committee on Business and Rules

Ita Solomon Enang was born on 23 August 1962. He attended the Presbyterian Teachers Training College, Ididep, Akwa Ibom State (1974-1979). I know you don't know the implication of not passing those bills after the HoR had passed them. If they had not been passed, they would be re-introduced in the 8th house to undergo the same process, thereby wasting time and money.
