I can go on and on on the failed promises and projects of APC government.

My brother, you have made a valid point here===failure of government on its promises.

I will suggest we leave the parties out of it..

It applies to all tiers of government.

Was Eko Atlantic not conceived several years before this Abuja Centenary City project? If I'm correct the company involved only committed to do it just last year. So why would Eko Atlantic that has been in sight for the past 10 or 20 years not have construction commence before it? Your reasoning, and juxtaposing of actual construction pics of one with graphics of the other makes no sense.

1. Eko Atlantic got off the ground with years of studies and environmental impact assessment, building the now world famous Wall of Lagos, years of dreading and know skyscrapers going up so what's the meaning of your ignorant 10 or 20 years rubbish?

2. 2nd Niger bridge has been on the drawing board for 30 years and it's still nothing but imagination and mirage even after your useless president fooled Nigerians and that local community with the usual groundbreaking jamboree almost a year ago.

Do you mind showing us the result of that ground breaking after almost 1 year groundbreaking charade?

Btw, what's this got to do with you lying all over the place about silly and goofy stories like Nigeria having nuclear plants in months when in act what was said was COULD which to even elementary school kids means MAYBE?

I know you are old because I was going to say you a sad byproduct of your useless president's lousy education policies..

Africa Square Tower (76 floors)

Interestingly, the tallest building in Centenary city may be taller than the tallest that Eko Atlantic City will have to offer. While research and news emerging from Lagos suggests that the tallest structures in Eko Atlantic City may be around the 50 floor mark, the Africa Square Tower in Centenary City will be 76 floors, which would make it taller than Africa's current tallest building (the Carlton Centre). The Africa Square Tower (image above) will boast of 30 floors of luxury apartments and 46 floors of premium office space.

Am not really into government this or that,... the writer said we are a nation of can'ts and I ran a few examples for him/her . that example is irrespective of government... As I understand a nation is made of people, and here someone is saying that 170 million people are incapbale of doing anything..

last I checked, Seun is Nigerian living in Nigeria and am using a product of his creative mind.... So much for a nation of cant's

A nation of 170 million can dream and do anything, it's just that your own nation of 170 million people since independence can not dream their nation out of darkness even with so much human and natural resources, a nation that can not dream to provide quality health care for 170 million people, a nation that can not offer quality education for school kids, a nation that can not dream up ways to eradicate social ills like corruption, official incompetence and mismanagement..

Millions of youths are wasting their potentials away by selling recharge cards and peddling pure water or some other disabling occupations when they should be skilled and well educated Nigerians contributing to our development with good paying and skilled jobs..

Our Natural resources is not doing anything to move us forward and our man power resources remains dormant or just rotting away untapped..

We are all Nigerians and we know our problems from A-Z so why sugarcoat and sweep your problems under the carpet with some dreaming stuf. Yes we can dream and aim high and we should, but not until you remove the impediments preventing 170 million people from unleashing their Godly endowed potentials.

really , if we are a nation of cants

how come we built Abuja from scratch in the first place.

if we are a nation of can'ts how come we are still a democratic nation after 15 years

if we are a nation of can'ts how come eko atlantic is slowly rising.

if we are a nation of can'ts how come abuja -kaduna lines are built

if we are a nation of can'ts compare Akwa Ibom now and 10 years ago,

the list goes on
You built Abuja yet it's not Lagos built and planned by colonialists. Abuja has no railway system. No cebtralized public water supply system. No centralised sewage and drainage system. No function traffic system. No centralized crime/CCTV system. Until u visit other countries in Southern and Northern African countries, you would realise that Abuja is a dummy city...

The point is that Abuja is a city built by Nigerians from scratch that's a can do attitude. It means they can. That the Akwa Ibom is "basically a city" built from scratch by Nigerians shows a can do attitude. Every other thing is just "embellishment".

Secondly that you grew up in a culture where everything is centralized does not confer to it any better civilization or mark of development than a place where it is decentralized. The point is service is delivered and people get what they need.

That I get my electricity from the solar panel on top of my roof does not mean am less civilized or developed than you who pays another to supply it from a centralized system. To me centralization smacks of dependency.

No functioning traffic system shows that you have not moved around the country extensively in recent times. A little travel will help you reevaluate your country beyond what you read on the internet.

Thanks and be well

It is always easy.for pessimistic crititcs to gloss over facts and present generalised runoff the mill..I read somewhere "truths" as facts

So here are the facts you should consider.
1. How many primary schools were pre- independence compared today.
2. Ditto to secondary and universities.
3. How many medical professionals were pre independence compare to today.
4. Ditto to engineers of every kind.
5. How many parts if Nigeria were connected by road pre independence and how many now.
6. How many cities were in Nigeria pre compared today

So sit back and critically analyze the progress that has been made by this country the past 50 years and check who is really "lying" to themselves.

Lastly being educated does not mean that someone have to "feed" or create opportunity for you - that's what the brain is meant for. You go out there use your "god" given talent and make something out of it instead of waiting for another to do it for you...that is what creating opportunity means.

Thanks and be well

Are there no Africans shown in the renders? What rubbish are you on about? Are you blind? Please take your racial insecurities elsewhere biko. You think 'govt officials' should reject architectural renders for projects because they have some white people shown in them? I mean, you reason like a kid.

Guy, you de vex o! People ask questions of what they are not sure about. The least you could do was to address them civilly rather than give vent to manifest anger.

It would be better if you also balanced your observation with what the APC strong man Fashola's Track record so we can see who has delivered more on their projections?
You want me to remind you of all the promises APC made through Fashola that has not seen the light of the day 7.5yrs later?
jonathan has been in power for 3yrs yet he has achieved a lot compared to Fasholas 7.5 yrs.

Stop comparing a governor with a president.
