Imo State Governor and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Rochas Okorocha, declared in Kano yesterday that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government had impoverished Nigerians in the past 15 years.

Rochas described the ruling party as a symbol of deceit and failed leadership.
He insisted that it was only in the APC that Nigerians could get succour and return to the good days of real democracy.

He further accused the ruling party at the centre for fanning the embers of division among ethnic nationalities, adding that the government of the day was neck-deep in corruption, while distancing itself from the people.

“What is bothering me today is that if a Kano man goes to Imo, he gets frightened and afraid of moving freely as a Nigerian in this own country. Equally, an Igbo or Yoruba man expresses the same fear while in other regions; but if an Indian or a Chinese gets into Nigeria, he feels like king in any region or state of the federation. This is where PDP has kept us today and it must stop.”

Addressing APC delegates from the North-west at his Education Foundation premises in Kano, he said the party would carry the day once he emerges the party’s presidential candidate, considering his background and acceptability to all ethnic groups in the country.

Governor Rochas added that his aspiration to rule Nigeria was borne out of his desire and vision to rescue Nigeria from disintegration.

He pointed out that his ambition to become the president lies in the hands of the North, while expressing optimism that his age-long relationship with the leaders of the region was going to work for him, “I am out never to deceive the North and I am convinced that the North will not also deceive me.”

According to him, having contacts and connections across the country gives him an edge over other aspirants, saying he has all it takes to fix the issue of security, education, agriculture, fighting poverty and as well ensuring the unity of Nigeria.

He further argued that it was high time Nigerian leaders discarded religious and ethnic sentiments which he said could never be a pre-requisite for seeking or getting hold to power.

While explaining why he granted free education in Imo State from primary to university level, Okorocha insisted that Nigeria has enough money to carter for over 160 million of its population promised to declare free education for all once he made it to Aso Rock.

I didn't read past the first paragraph where the mumu implicated himself.

PDP impoverished Nigeria in the last 15years. What party was the fooooool with in the 1st 12years of his last 15years?

The same Kwankwaso who is hosting him was part of the mistakes of PDP. The same party.

Atiku, Rotimi, Obasanjo, Tambuwal etc disturbing my airspace these days were all part of this PDP and today they have been literally chased out and a finer breed incorporated into the PDP. These renegades that were pruned out now form saint! Mumu people! Only foooooools can't see through them
