how can I be of help here

I really can't type; explanations and definitions.
so I thought this question might be important.

What mass of magnesium will be deposited in the cathode of an electrolytic cell when 10Faraday of electricity is passed through it. (Mg2+)

I also think I can help to provide reliable answers and explanations to questions and also propose some helpful questions. let questions be encouraged, instead of writing the whole chemistry textbook here, while time is now very short for that. Well I can be of service from now till 5th of January but will still be visiting this thread occasionally.
nice work guys.

Mg2+ + 2e- = Mg . .
1mole=2F, xmole=10F . . Cross-multiply,
2x=10,
x=5mole
mole=mass/molar mass . .
5=m/24 . .
M=24*5 . .
Mass of Mg=120g
.
Solved it without biro and calculator . . M i ryt?

icecalm, am really grateful for your efforts. I understand that typing could be a bit difficult, judging from d fact that there's no time.
The best thing is if people could be asking questions often.

Pls,what is the difference btw a pure subtance and an impure substance

ifeoluwaobiwale:

an impure substance is a mixture of the pure substance and some other impurities. More so, a pure substance has a definite boiling point while an impure substance boils over a range of temperature, just as you know that impurities elevate the boiling point while it lowers the melting point of substances. On a final note, a pure substance while produce just one spot on a paper chromatogram since it contains just a single entity.
Merry Christmas to y'all

i think it's C ,because chlorine bleaches by oxidation and for the colour to reverse,it means it's reducing

you are wrong, but right in the explanation that chlorine bleach by oxidation and reduction is reversing it effect of bleaching. and what could cause such reversion would be a special reagent, but Musa's hat was only worn on the head by him occasionally/ often

he's wearing it in the head,then i think the sun bleaches(responsible for the reduction) it
