In your haste, you forget that a man + woman makes a baby and if poor people should have a limit to no of kids, it affects them BOTH.

I know two families who are below average: Family A has 2 girls and Family B has about 5 kids + 1 relative.

Guess which kids are always looking plumb and cute with the little their parents can afford?

The solution to the problem is to basically find a way to reduce poverty. This is because a poor person has only one hope, and that is that his children will probably be successful in the future and take them out of the poverty they are currently in. He thinks the more children, the more the chances of one of the kids becoming successful in life.

Guess some parents envision the future that some may be doctors, engineers, sportsmen, ... High achieving professionals. That's their hope. It may work for some though.

Lol at hope, when the financial capacity is not there. Good samaritan go help train all their children finish, but all the glory to the parents at the end of the day. Have you heard stories of poor kids that suffer so much to make it, with little or no effort from their parents?, no one ever wants his child to suffer yet we must plan for rainy days.
