The year is grinding to a halt.

The summer is passed and we have had over 11 months of top-notch hollywood movies and duds.

I just wanna guage what yall loved and hated movie-wise in '08 and why.

My best movies for 2008 would include Wanted, Hell Boy 2 and The Dark Knight.

Wanted, action movies are never about plots, but action sfx and sequences and Angelina and co did not disappoint.

Hell Boy 2 was a suprise for me. More action and a stronger story line than the first.

Dark Knight well i felt the brouhaha would hit new heights, based on Heath's death. But the move was darn good and actually an epitome of the real bat guy we comic buffs loved.

My duds for the year would be LakeView Terrace and Bangok Dangerous. Are Samuel L. Jackson and Nicolas Cage broke or something? That will only explain why they chose to be part of weak, cliched movies.

Aight for actors on the come-up but not people like them who together have an impressive list of movies.

Oops I forgot Jumper, that should be my worst movie for 2008. Strengthless actors, predictable plot even the efxs were a bit tiring, zapping from place to place.

X-files: I want to believe, well it it for X-file fans and was meant to be a serial masquerading as a movie.

I don't have a best, worst is certainly Meet Dave.

Eagle eye was machine against man, Wanted was just a hilarious joke.

Neither of those films are fantasy. Isn't sci-fi different from fantasy?

That Wanted film was just a joke jare, I respected Angelina less because of that movie. At least, LOTR did a better job at convincing me that there might be a middle earth and if I see two dwarfs and a ring, I should be wary.

i think journey to the center of the earth was the worst  i watched it right to the end and i was like Bleep it had no point but yea wanted was really outrageos

Jolie spun a bullet and it went through 4 hard skulls. . .and it still maintained the same speed and direction it had when it left her gun. . . before it entered hers . .and as if the bullet knew its job was done, it stopped spinning after it hit her . . or it shoulda continued till. . .

justkunmi i can't believe u actually did like WANTED &CLOVERFIELD and i also can't believe that someone would actually compare EAGLE EYE to that piece of crap called WANTED.

And by the way yeah!! Bangkok dangerous sucked.making it the 3rd dumb movie (Next, Ghost rider, Bangkok dangerous) nic is making in bout 5yrs (not what ud expect from a guy whose uncle directed the all time famous and ever highly rated THE GODFATHER),

hey, Cloverfield was a nice movie. . Really it was. .Wonder why people dont. .
I like movies cos of different reasons though. .
I liked Eagle Eye cos I saw it immediately after Max Payne which was thoroughly dissapointing. So it kinda cooled me nerves . . .

Damn, Cloverfield was tha bomb. Made me forgive J. J. Abrams for what he put me through in Lost. How can you not like Cloverfiled? Wanted on the other hand, apart from some ridiculous crapolas (if your heart beats that fast, you should have a coronary and not super human powers). Justkunmi spelled out the worst part. The boomerang bullet. Haba, I did Physics in school na!

Na the bullet pain you for Wanted? How about the driving bit when they were trying to get away from the supermarket? And the sh!t they did when the train derailed? The acting sef was one kain. The only thing that might have remotely impressed me was the plot and they messed that up with the darn bullet. That McAvoy fellow looks like someone who inhales helium on a constant basis.

spikedcylinder thank u very very much o,at least someone sees it the way i do.cos WANTED was crap other than the stunts (which they dont give ny awards for) plus it lacked correct dialogue, but hey thats only what i think.

Nyway justkunmi i guess the reason i didnt really like cloverfield is cos the hype was just to much b4 it came out and to me it didnt live up to my expectation,but seeing VANTAGE POINT immediately afterwards consoled me, now on the other hand give me a movie without crap like PINEAPPLE EXPRESS and u'd just have made my day (lovely movie)

iice i agree with u on the fantasy part bout WANTED cos even the makers labelled it as Action/Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Thriller, Crime/Gangster and Adaptation, just to cover all the crap they put in it.
but anyway yeah i know Nic doesnt use dat last name (said he wants to make it on he's own) plus iv heard bout THE KNOWING so i hope Nic does me proud this time cos im a huge fan
