I went to the fuel station to get some fuel for my car and Gen set, i was suprise to hear its N105. It happened that the Manager of the station is a friend, so i walked up to him joiking.. "Oga na the christmas Gift for us be this?" He laughed and said my brother, this country is something else ooH

He said NNPC releases the fuel for N90, but top private marketers goes to buy all the fuel from NNPC, hoards the product and now sell to the filling stations at their own price.. Then i stand to ask myself, is it that Govt is not aware of this scam and hoarding? What is then the subsidy all about?

So many question to ask... Please how much is the fuel in your own location? Lets hear.

Subsidy indeed

Petroleum Products Yielded from One Barrel of Crude Oil

Product Percent of Total
Finished Motor Gasoline 51.4%
Distillate Fuel Oil 15.3%
Jet Fuel 12.3%
Still Gas 5.4%
Marketable Coke 5.0%
Residual Fuel Oil 3.3%
Liquefied Refinery Gas 2.8%
Asphalt and Road Oil 1.7%
Other Refined Products 1.5%
Lubricants 0.9%

The nnpc gets over 300,000 barrels to refine daily.what do they do with the other products after refining?
Those other products, when sold are enough to pay the Subsidy, if any, on petrol.

This ur analysis is one major discussion we nigerians must sit down and have a conversation about.

I have had rumors that because our crude oil(Brent crude) is priced high, the government prefers to sale all of our crude and then import petrol from lower quality crude for nigerians to use.
That is, we nigerians are not good enough to use our own God given crude oil and this is the major reason our refineries have refused to work in the last 16 years of democrazy
