President Goodluck Jonathan has reiterated federal government’s resolve to protect the constitutional rights of Nigerians to live in any part of the country without discrimination as a way of fostering peaceful coexistence. The president gave this assurance yesterday in Abuja, while speaking at the maiden Annual National Migration Dialogue organised by the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons in partnership with Swiss government. The president who was represented by Vice President Namadi Sambo, frowned at what he termed “internal migratory friction being experienced in some parts of the country”. Jonathan said: “…our priority does not only focus on international migration, but also reflects the internal migratory friction being experienced in some parts of the country. The Nigerian constitution guarantees the right of every Nigerian to reside anywhere in the country without discrimination.
