You debt burden became £98 and not £100 immediately you returned 1£ each to your mum and dad.

In other words, when u returned £1 to each parent you now owe £98, so why are you still using £100 to calculate your debt? undecided

There is no missing pound. I won't show you any calculations because this is basic maths.

Chai! Na English I read for school. Why are u vexing

XXX5:
Solution:
Upper limit of the set = 50
n + r = 50 + 5
n + r = 55
n = 55 - r
from St 2.
n × r = 750
but n = 55 - r
hence,
r(55 - r) = 750
r² - 55r + 750 = 0
r² - 30r - 25r + 750 = 0
r(r - 30) -25(r - 30) = 0
r = 30 Or 25.
but n + r = 55
for r = 25
n = 55 - 25 = 30.
for r = 30
n = 55 - 30 = 25.
but n + r > 50 by 5.
if r = 25 and n = 30
25 + 30 = 55 > 50 by 5.
and from the question, n > r.
so the right evaluation to be used is
r = 25 and n = 30.
Now, nPr
nPr = n!/(n - r)!
nPr = 30!/(30 - 25)!
nPr = 30!/5!

This is indeed Madmatics! angry

But if you look closely, its quite simple smiley

Go seek questions from "Advanced Engineering Mathematics" by Erwin Kreigzig for you to know that there are levels to this things.

I took it in 300Level back then and I almost cursed the guy. You think you have it figured out but there you are drawing blanks.

Yeah, he's very correct bro because if
(a + b) log x = log b, then
log x (a + b) = log b and
x (a + b) = b. (log 10 cancels each other)
Having said this, I thin the only logical solution to this is the graphical method. One has to draw a graph of y = 2 x and y = 4x on the same axis.
Thanks bro. I observed that the same method works for similar problems that was why I asked him to try it with 3^X = 9X

A finite set "S" is defined by positive integers "x"...in which 5≤x≤50.
Two numbers exist in the set such that their sum is greater than the upper limit of the set by 5. The digits "057" is the mirrored image of the product of the two numbers (r&n). Calculate the solution of "nPr".

HINT: n>r,
S={5,6,...,r,...,27,...,n,...50}
nPr=n!/(n-r)!

Very simple question if you weren't carrying girls up and down the campus.

I will tell you the answer on just one condition- Stop bleeping girls they carry away your brain responsible for reasoning out problems.

The password to my pc consists of '0' & '1' (BINARY). There are 720 different ways of combining these digits in which only one is my pss wrd. The password hint shows
"0⁴, 1²". If my password to base ten is the result obtained when sixty is subtracted from the solution of
[(11!/10!)×200]/[2²× {√16 +1²)]....Can you help me figure out my password?

D answer is110010 now my criticism
1. Your hint which says 0^4, 1^2 is wrong
2.there are no 720 ways of combining 3 zeros and 3 1s u less each digit is considered a different entity just like there are no 6 ways of combining 111
3. Is combination the right word u should have said rearranging

Seeing the way some guys rattle mathematics here, a genuine thought just came into my head. Why is it that great mathematicians are not the richest (money) in the world?.
Reason: Most of the things they do in advanced mathematics are for entertainment/fun (call them games) and can not be applied to real life situations. Otherwise, can any mathematics teacher/student here tell me whether they have integrated or differentiated their problems and arrived at a real life solution? For instance, you are broke and you applied integration or differentiation to the problem and produced money. grin
Note: I love mathematics.

A Construction Firm wishes to use a group of fifty professionals to execute a project. These fifty are to be selected from 110 engineers. there are Y number of women in the firm and X number of men. The number of male engineers necessary to complete the project are 10100 to base two. If the firm consists of [(50!/49!)+(5²-√{225!/224!})] women, Calculate the value of... [(X²+Y³)25]/e10]+(65/{5×√4}²).

HINT: I refer to this question as a chain of EVALUATIONS in which only those able to manipulate Complexities are able to solve.
GOOD LUCK!

This op knows little about mathematics. The real mathematical problems are not for this blog. For instance. The pythagoras theorem cannot go more than power of two i.e. a^2 + b^2 = c^2 so something like a^3 + b^3 = c^3 or more. etc. And many more

Every Physicist, Chemist, Engineer,The military, Pharmacist and Doctors must be grounded i mathematics, even in football mathematic is comming into play.
For instance, for the military to lounch a missile, the must have the idea of projectile motion- which has alot of Physics and Mathematics.
By the way the man who invented the computer is a mathematics.
