Going through the "port of no return" at Badagry with all the relics of slavery, one can visibly see the past & collateral damage of slavery on Africa & self identity. My question is if hands of time are reversed on slavery; What will be the position of Africa & Nigeria in particular looking at the economy & coupled with the mad rush for "greener pastures" (self-imposed slavery) that turns to be odd or menial job. People often timesendure/ tolerate all forms of abuse all in the name of residence permit. Would people not willing to accept "free"forced slavery if the Europeans were to return to Africa? |
