Asita as the running mate to the party’s candidate, Dakuku Peterside. The choice of Asita may have come after many weeks of deliberations to zone the position to the upland area. Asita, who is a Federal Lawmaker like Dakuku, has total loyalty to the state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi. Born on December 31, 1966, Honourable Asita hails from Ahaoda-West Local Government area, the Orashi region of Rivers State and same constituency with the former Governor of the state, Dr. Peter Odili. He was part of the pool of young politicians recruited and groomed by Amaechi. He was a Commissioner under Odili’s tenure before he joined the Federal House of Representatives in 2007 up till date. In the meantime, there are strong indications that the PDP governorship aspirant, Nyesom Wike is considering a kalabari (riverine) as his Deputy Governor. The issue of upland and riverine dichotomy plays huge role in the politics of Rivers State. |

How many bills did our Nigerian lawmakers raise to deal with matters in their constituency I am sure you will find many by Obama etc before they were promoted to higher functions. Dakuku peterside is the APC governorship flag bearer. Likely the next governor of rivers state. Dakuku is currently a federal law maker representing opobo/nkoro/ndoki/bonny constituensy of rivers state. He was former commissioner or works in Amaechis First term. He is a workaholic .... Ensuring that jobs are done on target. Showing his passion for exelence in most of his task. Asita o asita is a also a federal rep from rivers state. |
