The Demonic Crave For Falsehood - The Veil Of Deceit by fruyi(m): 11:11am On Dec 22, 2014
* This is a biblical insight into a personal revelation against the norm... It's my personal opinion on a misleading trend which is sure to stir up controversy and diverse opinions in the Christian community (as is already the case). Somewhat targeting women but generally meant to re-orientate mankind to the deceitful veil of the devil.

I am neither an authority in theology nor a saint and this is therefore not a prophetic declaration... So don't swallow me in my ignorance... It is only an opinion that is open for debate... Wherein we all learn more! Read only if you are a believer in the doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ.... The Bible; or with a spirit filled understanding that "DiarisGodooo!"... Comments and critics can follow... No shakings!... Lol

Straight to the point...

I took time out to search the scriptures on a controversial topic in the christian fold - Fashion and Trends! I found the following 3 passages particularly quite revealing and summarizing... It bothers around moderation and how God expects us to appear both in our inward and outward appearances... And the repercussion thereafter. Though gender specific (female), we can all relate to the verses... However, I am not going to dwell on wether men should wear women's clothing and vise versa... Saved for the comments maybe... I'll focus on a deeper personal perspective and hope to enlighten or be enlightened otherwise... It's titled "Fashionable veil of Deceit!"...

Firstly:

1 Timothy 2:9 New International Version (NIV)

9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, NOT WITH elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,...

>> Notice "NOT WITH"?

Secondly:

1 Peter 3:3-4 New International Version (NIV)

3 Your beauty should NOT come from outward adornment, SUCH AS elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 RATHER, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Thirdly:

Zephaniah 1:8 (KJV)

And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

These are obviously in contrast with current trend in a "christian" world craving for designer outfits, luxury and private jets. But from the passages, i see moderation and even specific instructions against "adorning expensive apparels". That got me thinking... What is the true implication of these statements?

... Seems pretty obvious ...

DRESS MODERATELY BUT DO NOT ADORN YOURSELF IN GOLD OR STRANGE/EXPENSIVE APPARELS!... FOR YOUR TRUE BEAUTY IS ON THE INSIDE! ... THERE IS PUNISHMENT ON THE LAST DAY FOR THOSE WHO DON'T COMPLY.

Typically, we have a way of doing exactly what we're told NOT to do!

Many are quick to point out that... WE ARE ETERNALLY SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH THE "SHARING" OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS TO ATONE FOR OUR SINS.

Again some will argue that: GOD LOOKS AT OUR "INWARD APPEARANCE"- THE MIND's INTENTION BEHIND THE ACTION ... TO JUDGE US AND NOT OUR OUTWARD APPEARANCES...

BUT... "Shall we continue in sin and ignorance that grace may abound?"... I am seeking knowledge o...

Some even argue that we should come as we are and God will accept us like that... Don't be
deceived o...

If your appearance is such that it causes another soul to lust... Your heart no pure nathin!!! As it is said that if your right eye will cause u to sin... pluck it out! So also... if your adornment will lead people to sin... pluck it out!!! Moderation is what was instructed o! I no say make ashawo no go church but if they are ready to be saved, it should be by GOD's terms and not theirs!

Matthew 7:16-20 King James Version (KJV)

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men
gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

From the passages, God has no problem with dressing as in wearing fine clothes... He only specified that it be moderate and not expensive (what? Yes He instructed o... Duh! ).. For those living under the cover of "God judges only the intentions of the mind, not outward appearances"... Hear this: You have finger and toe nails but u buy fake nails and glue to your fingers and toes, you have hair but choose to attach fake hair to your head, you are black but decide to bleach yourself yellow... What holy intentions could you possibly have in your heart for all that? To win souls for Christ? Or you call that moderation?...

That is pure deceit to attract wrong attention to yourself and question God's creative identity of your being!

In fact, let me focus my opinion on the outward appearances in furtherance of the aforementioned and my topic... (inward appearance as I understand, is about holiness and purity of mind, thoughts and heart in the sight of God)... Comment otherwise.

In the passages above, Apart from the fact that GOD specifically pointed out some apparels we should NOT adorn... (Though most celebrate adorning them today: eg "gold, pearl and expensive apparels"wink, ... I believe that When you adorn or wear (put on) anything (*outside those specifically listed above) in such a way that it does NOT CHANGE WHO YOU ARE ... PHYSICALLY or NATURALLY... (Not causing deceit or false modification of your true personality)... Then that in my opinion... Is moderation personified and ok in the sight of God! Examples... Moderate dressings, moderate outlook (keeping your identity and look moderate ... Not expensive or elaborate), etc...

However, if OTHERWISE... It is deceitfully wrong cause you are a walking image of FALSEHOOD. Likened to an idol or "juju"! Examples... Apparels like long, multi-colored /painted False nails... (Even cheap ones... Who are you deceiving? Lol) ... False Eye lashes... (Deceit!)... Attaching long fake or "natural" hair to ur short beautiful hair (deceit)... dyeing or tinting ur hair to other colors apart from your natural hair color (deceit)... High heels to look and feel tall (deceit)... Colored contact lenses to have blue eyes (deceit)... Bleaching ur skin (deceit)... Colored nails (deceit)... Padded bra (deceit)... Padded pants (deceit)... Etc. * Just stepped on some toes... Lol

In my opinion, the devil just perfected a simple formula; "Altering ur being" to derail God's plan for YOU... But we vainly think it's JUST "fashion!"... "Innovation!" ... That is the master of deceit at work... The devil!

Are you getting where I am coming from?... Deceit is the devil's key weapon of manipulation into bondage... "Try it... Like it... Get hooked on it... then Bondage!"... May God open our eyes..

In such cases, We are a walking LIE on a daily basis under the deceitful cover of body enhancement fashion... We live a lie while professing holiness in worship of God without knowing... We change our God-given natural features for worldly attention (vanity).. We ALTER GOD's temple; which is our perfect identity and clad ourselves unknowingly with "the apparels of the beast"... Thus loosing our identity before God (Remember when God could no longer see Adam n eve cos they had eaten the forbidden fruit because of the deceit of the devil?)... Thank God for Jesus who can wash us anew through acceptance, confession, repentance and believe.

Shine your eyes o!!! Don't be deceived!!!... The devil is on the prowl... Is there Deceit in your "Fashion"?... God is not a deceiver! Your attachments, weave-ons, thread, weaving, perming of hair, false nails, false eye-lashes, false blue-eyes (contact lenses), padded bras n padded pants... Breast enhancement or genital enhancement jobs lol etc ... Are all deceitful veil under the cover of fashion, enhancement and innovations to corrupt your mind, body and focus... See it as it is!

What about jewelries, tattoo, hair dyeing or tinting, bleaching the skin, elaborate make-up (e.g painting your pink lips blue or other colors)... Artificial nails, breast n buttocks implants ... Fake boobs, fake buttocks, fake nose, fake! fake!! fake!!!... ALL pure vanity and deceit! Deceit in the name of fashion and innovation... It's ALL falsehood personified in misleading deceit... And you are a tool for propagation.

You are admired for what you are obviously NOT! ... And others get attracted into similar traits thus expanding the deceit... Then in your privacy, you''re back to your natural self... What is that? DECEIT!!! Which can only come from the devil as God does not deceive!

We take so much for granted, may God open our eyes to see these deceitful trickery of the devil o... Remember what d devil did to Eve in the garden? She never knew what she was into until she got Adam to join in... They were both punished in the end... No excuses.

Pastors should stop pampering their congregation in sin to keep their population and financial returns... Preach the word and set the captives free!!! You owe it to God!

As a slight diversion...

Recently, I was in a church and "shoki" dance was the order of the day right on the alter "to the Glory of God!". Even the Deacons barely retrained themselves from joining in and showing their "shoki" snake-hand style too lwkm... God have mercy!!! A worldly dance suddenly accepted and made "holy" just because it is danced in church to the rhythm of a gospel tune to "Glorify God"? Hmmm... Such is the level of derailment in our churches... Holiness and purity is gradually relegated to the confines of history because of the quest for worldly renumerations! Soon maybe smoking marijuana in church will be heralded as "holy smoke" just because it is puffed in unison with the "hallelujah chorus" (kai! Uyi you no serious at all... Lol)... Then what next? ... Youth wing in churches... Be careful o!

Back to my topic jare...

God's words are eternal and never changing... fashion and innovations are mere worldly distractions to divert our focus from God's plans for us. It is funny that everything God spoke against is what we are accepting as innovations and fashion trends now.

Don't get me wrong o... i am not against fashion and innovations... but when it starts to ALTER GOD's Plan for you... DISCERN! There is nothing holy or modest about paying vain attention to body to please the world... Our true beauty is seen in our inner man in conjunction with modesty in our outward appearances.... Total package to the glory of God.

So, Don't be deceived, YOUR OUTWARD APPEARANCE CAN MAKE YOU OR OTHERS SIN AGAINST GOD AND MISS YOUR BLESSINGS!

My humble submission...

We seem to be modifying God's standard for worldly conveniences but God's standard never changes. While It's ok to moderately wear or put things on to outwardly present oneself, It becomes deceit when you attach or stick things on in such a way that it alters your natural, God-given looks... You are clearly show-boating for worldly attention to yourself as against glorifying God!

In short... Dress not to impress the world but to please God... God's got standards for everything ... We should stop modifying it while claiming that the intent of the heart is what matters... There is no good intention in deceit; Don't make me believe you have black hair only to find out its all grey when u wash off the coloring... That is deceit. Don't make me believe you have big boobs by "packaging and padding"... Only to find out that it is all saggy and "fokasibèid"!

Still Pondering if it's Deceit or Fashion?... Think about it... Really! What do you think?...

It's pure DECEIT aimed at attracting vein attention to yourself or pleasing the world; thus enticing more souls to do same... Unknowingly making oneself willing tool of distraction and deceit in the hands of the devil in the guise of fashion.

Conclusively, we should be weary of what we accept as "fashion" or "innovations"... Everything originates from the spiritual realm for a reason... Music, fashion, movies, games... Even my current write-up... You name it! It's either of God or of the Devil... But the Holy Spirit will help us discern accordingly in due course... Amen!
