Ocean Transportation

Container Shipping: Your vehicle will be delivered to an Auction Export warehouse in NJ, GA, TX, CA or for Canadian shipments Toronto, ON.,Montreal QC., A 40ft container can hold up to 5 vehicles and if you are shipping a full container load the container will be loaded upon vehicles arrival at the warehouse. You will be provided with a container number which you can use to get an updated position of your cargo. If you are shipping a single vehicle then it will be consolidated into a container with other vehicles and loaded as soon as all the vehicles arrive at the warehouse. When the container is loaded it will be transported to the port and loaded onto a vessel the following week.

RORO: Your vehicle will be delivered directly to the exit port in NJ, MD, GA, FL, TX, CA or Halifax Nova Scotia for Canadian shipments. When the vehicle arrives to the port the title/ownership and accompanying documents are submitted to U.S. Customs. Please note, NJ customs are overburdened due to very high volume, and delays are not uncommon. The vehicle will be loaded onto the next vessel with available cargo space.

Nigeria: Most RORO vehicles to Nigeria are shipped with Grimaldi/ACL. Grimaldi has a first come first serve policy and it is not uncommon for a vehicle to miss the first available vessel due to a lineup cars already waiting at the port. Our Nigerian clients prefer the use of Grimaldi due to its unrivalled safety and easy receipt of their vehicle in Lagos where Grimaldi has its own terminal.

HOW TO KNOW THE CAR’S TOTAL COST?

The total cost for a vehicle is a sum of the vehicle’s price or its winning bid, fees and shipping charges. Every customer can check the estimated cost of any chosen car on the car’s page.
If vehicle is sold for a fixed price with Buy Now option, simply add the price, fees, which are indicated right under the button, and the estimated shipping charges, both for inland and ocean delivery service.

As a Reminder!

Please note that Ports of America changed its regulations in regards to NON DRIVABLE and EXTENSIVE DAMAGED vehicles. Please note that Auction Export will now use container shipping for all extensive damaged, non drivable vehicles that have to be forklifted and are going to WEST AFRICA. All drivable vehicles without visible extensive damage will sail by RORO as usual, vehicles that are non drivable and do not have extensive damage will be accepted by RORO TOWABLE. Ports of destination will stay the same.

Shipping Calculator Says

* All shipping prices are estimates.

Please beware that all vehicles going by RORO must be run and drive and not have extensive damage. Please note certain conditions may apply. In the event these are unable to be shipped by RORO, container consolidation and/or RORO towable may also be available to some destinations. Shipping prices are for sedans and mid size SUV's only, please check shipping cost prior to the purchase for all other vehicle types.
Please contact our Transportation Department shipping@auctionexport.com for exact shipping costs.

No more Maersk vessels calls in Algeciras for now

The royal decree on the new port system reform, approved by Spain on February 24th caused increasing massive protests in every Spain port. The reason is the enabling by authorities the hiring of non-unionized workers instead of the unionized ones. As it was announced, the stage strikes are planned on March 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22 and 24. The Danish shipping giant Maersk reacted immediately and cancelled its vessels calls in Algeciras port. As per the line these strikes will cause a big impact on cargo flow, as the Spanish port is one of the biggest transshipment points on the way to Europe and Africa. During the strike period the line will be using alternative Mediterranean European ports. As a temporary exception, Algeciras ports will be still used for eastbound transshipment connections.

Receiving your car at Destination Port

Container: When shipping a full container load the container will be released to the consignee provided. When shipping a less than full container load the container will be assigned to a destination agent who will de-consolidate the cargo to the respective consignees.

RORO: The consignee will receive the vehicle at the port using the Original Bill of Lading or Telex release.

Documents: The title and OBL will be sent via express courier to the consignee as soon as they are received from the U.S. Customs.

Please note Auction Export does not provide customs clearance services at the destination country and it is the client's responsibility to clear their cargo.

Have you ever thought on having your car in less than two weeks transit time? Our air shipping service can assist you with that!

How it works: Our shipping department will provide you first with a quote and possible scheduled routes for the flight. Once confirmed, one of our licensed drivers will pick up your vehicle and deliver it to the exit airport. Please note that we also offer enclosed truck service at an additional cost per client's request. Once the vehicle is at the exit port, the airline will confirm the flight # after your car has cleared customs and we will provide you with all tracking information when your car is on route

How much will it cost me to get Toyota Corolla Sport ship to Nigeria?

If you are reading this note, you are probably thinking to purchase a vehicle from the USA or Canada and export it to your home country. Let us assure you that you are on a right place, as we are on a business for over a decade and we will assist you.
To start, please register, as you will get a unique Dealer number that you will be asked every time when you will communicate with our agents via Live Chat, over the phone or in Skype.

Then, log-in to your profile and set up Notify Me service, so you will get all recently added vehicles of your interest.
Now, you are ready to get a quote. For us to provide you with an accurate quote we do need:
1 - LOT number of the vehicle. You can find a LOT number on every vehicle profile (attach screenshot and highlight LOT);
2 - Port of destination, so please mention the port of destination, for example Lagos, Nigeria.

Why this is important?
LOT number
- will provide us with all the details, such as current vehicle location, as sometimes cars are located close to the port of departure and sometimes it may take 2 days to deliver a car to the port of departure.
- vehicle condition, this is extremely important for us to understand if the vehicle is drivable or not, can the engine starts or not and etc.
Port of destination
- will help to provide you with an accurate quote as we can calculate everything.
We look forward to start doing business with you.
Thank you for choosing AuctionExport! kiss
