I have been wondering the misery behind closing of eyes. Although it was originated from the Bible. I don't feel convenient praying with eyes closed. I want to ask if I share the same view with someone else. What are the advantages and disadvantages of closing eyes while praying? Will my prayers not be answered if my eyes were open while praying?

I think we need to close our eyes while we are praying because it represents our sincereness when praying to God. Although praying when our eyes are open does not mean it will not be answered by God.It will be anwsered as long as we are sincere when we pray to him.It is much formal and much sincere when we close our eyes when we pray.

It signifies respect and also helps to avoid distraction.

It's only normal to do so.
