Supreme Council On Islamic Affairs Condemn Nigeria’s Stand On Palestine Issue by cjrane: 11:22pm On Jan 01, 2015 |
Following the failed attempt of Palestine to be recognized as a sovereign country at the security council of the united nation, the Nigerian Supreme Council On Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has condemned the stand of Nigeria to abstain from voting thereby truncating the effort to resolve the 66 year old crisis. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

While Israel has offered us weapons, experts and assistance in tackling Boko Haram, even at the caution of the US..the arab world's relation to the issue is possible sponsorship. The Libyans have sold the weapons they're using to kill themselves to terrorists in Mali and Nigeria, showered on them by the ignorance of the United States. The Saudis have blocked Nigerian flights from entering their airspace once we started buying weapons from Pakistan (should be noted that Pakistanis are not Arabs). Now the want to make noise because Nigeria recognizes Israel and not Palestine. While there are arabs and their lackeys in Africa killing and enslaving black africans every day they want us to stand in adversity to one of the only nations that has offered Nigeria assistance in these trying times. Let Palestine offer us assistance and help before we can do the same. As it stands we'll work with those that work with us, not against. 226 Likes 28 Shares |

This is how they sold Abiola to his death for bread. This is why politicians there campaign with rice. This is why Buhari beat and imprisoned Awolowo and they are campaigning harder for Buhari today than anyone alive, but when Achebe said Awolowo was looking out for Yoruba interests, it was a 6 month media war because Achebe had died and attacking him wouldn't require any courage. I like them as a people but when their mind is unveiled by the wayward nature of their baseless political thought..I realize that we're fundamentally different. They simply don't make sense. 102 Likes 9 Shares |

Some silly abok*is are meddling with issues of world politics. What do we have to gain from Palestine? Why didn't they condemn Gowon or Britain for not recognising Biafra? Weren't Biafrans agitating for sovereignty too? Religious-confused 1diats 86 Likes 5 Shares |

I think Nigeria did what's best for her - Abstain from voting. The Prof guy doesn't know what he is saying, Nigeria did not VOTE! She was Neutral, and that's okay to satisfy both the Christians and Muslims in this country. Now come to think of it, what relationship exists between Nigeria and Palestine sef? Maybe, when a Christian Part of Saudi Arabia decides to break away and call for the total Annihilation of Saudis, Nigeria should remain Neutral too... Palestine is still a part of Israel PERIOD! And they must continue to live in peace under the Israelli laws not Sharia law. It's just like one Igbo community in Lagos springing up and asking to be carved out from Lagos and recognised as a state of her own in SW Nigeria. 53 Likes 2 Shares |

Well, they have every right and reason to do so. But Nigeria's hands are tied at the moment so we are bargaining from a very weak position. There are times when expediency overrides morality and this is one of such moments. We just had to be selfish on this and protect our own interest at all cost. I'm all for a free Palestine and an end to the occupation which has denied Palestinians the right to live normal lives, but hell, we have to preserve our own right to normal life as well. Sorry. 15 Likes 1 Share |

A professor who cannot comprehend simple English. Nigeria simply abstained, meaning, we are " not for or against". Our foreign policy is non-alignment & that was what we did. 42 Likes 2 Shares |

Ikengawo: If indeed Israel offered us weapons and assistance how come we are buying arms from Pakistan? I'm interested in the official reasons why Nigeria abstain from voting. I hope is not because of the above. Internally Jonathan shot himself in the legs with this because he has lose another chunk of minute votes he'll get from the Muslims. Externally what's the benefits for us? Did the benefits outweigh the harms. Is this decision not going to draw the focus of the enemies of Israel on Nigeria? If it does, do we have the capabilities to take them on? If we don’t, are the Israelis and the Americans ready to budget part of their resources to fight them? They should give us the official reasons why they abstain from voting? 16 Likes |

You see these people... So the Nigerian Government can't decide anything now without you guys thinking your religion is being marginalised? I am not a religious bigot, but I tell you, if Christians should do have of what these Islamic fundamentalist are doing in the name of supporting their religion, the Nation will be something else. I have few question for the Prof. What is the meaning of abstain? Is Nigeria a nation for Muslims alone? Is our foreign policy religion based? What have they to say concerning Saudi arabia and other Arab country continuous suppression of other religion? Babaginda restored diplomatic relation with Israel because as at then, he was a stooge of the CIA and only doing part of their bidding. 19 Likes 2 Shares |
