Russia, China and even France backed the resolution and they are not Muslim countries. Even 5% of their populations are not Muslims. Christians who are foolish enough to think that it's a religious should go to he'll. The resolution should be about ending oppression and Nigeria should not support oppression because of any reason. Hamas took up arms to resist oppression from Israel. Even Nigeria gave south Africa weapons to fight. South African's ANC had a military wing. Let's be objective not sentimental.

It was d same buhari who took dis OIC, some 30 yrs ago! Say no to religious bigotry..say no to buhari!!

That was in his past and under a Military rule which won't be easy in a democratic setting.But you should also understand that Buhari led government dealt with corruption with no record of fund mismanagement even though it was very very easy to steal money then than now.Abeg this story will not change the minds of Nigerians that are tired of level of corruption in this regime where no single corrupt person has been brought to the books in 6 yrs.we need a change.

In daily basis, revelations are that, Islam is more of a cult than a religion. Every nation has people who belong to different faith and belief. Israel is a society just like the Palestinian. If there is an issue between Israel and Palestinian, why would islamic states for a collision or an alliance so as to push the stand of Palestine through without considering the stand of Israel? Conflict between Israel and Palestinian is far from a religious base. Why would the Islamic nations throw all their weight on the side of Palestine just because it is a fellow islamic society, to the extent of having it discussed and resolved to push it through the UNSC? Nigeria is a secular state and cannot be a member of the satanic OIC. I expect the OIC nation to sanctio IBB and Buhari and request an immediate deregister of Nigeria. Nigeria is not an Islamic state.

Is the Statehood of Palestine a religious or moral one? I consider it a moral one. And let us stop this Israel is Gods own country thing.

I do not see how enslaving people in their own land, killing them, forcefully cutting them off from the sea, the massacres committed by Isreal after the second world war on the Palestinians etc. as religious. Then when they fight back you invade and kill more of them.

In my opinion they deserve Statehood. This has nothing to do with religion. Having their right to their own land and country will not make them more or less Muslims.

I will gladly vote in favor of a Palestinian State any day. I actually hope Nigeria took her position based on a foreign policy unanimously agreed and accepted by the country state.

Religious sentiments should not make us blind to doing what is morally right.

Lending my voice to the whole matter... I sympathize with Palestine nonetheless Nigeria has more to gain strategically with Israel on the Long run, if Israeli occupation of Palestine ends today that "country" or whatever would remain will not benefit us at least for a very loooooooooooong time! Nigerian membership of OIC doesn't make sense, The security council is much more useless this days, United Nations is a joke, The world is upside down! Buhari and GEJ are the worst!!!
