It is time for Nigerians to unite. We should see ourselves first as Africans before Christian or Muslim.

We have a very rich culture and have done great exploits all around the world - in Egypt for example. However, the Bible has been written to paint Africans as beasts, slavery was also justified (Read Ephesians 6:5-cool.

The white people have done everything to keep black recognition in Egypt down and we swallow everything we are told by the history books.

Africans have been told that their religion is backward and they have to look up to these foreign religions and swallow everything written in the books (definitely not written by a black man).

Be wise Africans, be wise Nigerians.

Why will Americans do everything to prevent this Black Egyptian (Now an American citizen) from identifying with his black roots?

The bigger issues is that the main religions (Islam and Christianity) were not only forced on Africans but history was re-written to make Africans look inferior. Show me the blacks in the Bible.... the bad guys mostly.

Yet, Nigerians curse and kill themselves over Christianity and Islam.

You are wrong in saying the bible paints Africans as beast. Is religion the problem with Africans ? No. If every African were to be true Christians, there won't be corruption in the first place. So what are we saying?

You are entitled to your views. Give me references from the Bible were blacks were portrayed as positive key players and I will retract my comment. The Bible was definitely skewed to misrepresent history and project things the way the authors (who were not blacks) wanted - SIMPLE.

Have you heard of Cush? How did the bible describe him? A curse was placed on Ham and the result - blacks and slavery. Moses married a Cushite and was given hell by his people.

" If every African were to be true Christians, there won't be corruption in the first place..." ..Really? Is the authorship of the Bible corruption free?

Religion is a major problem in Nigeria (and many African countries). Please try to be objective.

The aim is to stress that Christianity (as referenced in the Bible) should not be a tool for division among Africans as the Bible (KJV, etc) is a book by a white God for white people.
