Firstly: You call that living? Living like robots instead of human beings? Am astound someone like you would even refer living like robot. And just how did the people in 'Equilibrium' fared! Secondly: I really don't believe science has made our life longer, what is the life expectancy of an average man? Talkless of a Nigerian? If science was all that human would life forever. Even with science, the world population still grow everyday and people still die everyday. The internet doesn't quick cut!. Even modern medicine can't give longevity!. Our forefathers live more years on this Earth than us, and they didn't have science.

I believe you made it clear from all what you said above that you'll prefer life in the Matrix than life in the real world. If you say "science take the cake" its your opinion" for me I refer all! No one is more important than the other. Anyway who am I to mess with your opinion?.

What makes you think your thoughts whether positive or negative are not influenced by advanced forces beyond your understanding? To me, I feel humans are more like biological machines with free will

War is primarily a product of human nature...War and sorrow will continue as long as unrighteousness rules the world we live in! In fact violence, killings, rapes and all forms of immoralities are by far worst in today's world than in ancient times!

Yesterday, I heard someone, a friend say in a possible attempt to rebuke poetry and poets, that she was a scientist and that through science only, the world could be cured of it's problems. Ishilove's reply to the friend reminded me of a long article I had once written in a reply to someone who had asked me what importance poetry had in our lives. Although, unfortunately, the asker never did see my reply to his question, I feel a reason to post my long reply here, for those who also might feel that there is no need for poetry in this modern world, and all we need are scientists. Enjoy.

My patriotism died after GEJ removed fuel subsidy- the one thing that Nigeria really gives its citizens. It resurrected sometime after but died again when the Chibok girls werent returned.

Yeah their is a balance. And entertainment is just for the money, the fame and for relaxation, but science is part of us. Infact every man on the surface of this earth is scientist, do you know why? Because man is very curious being. He always want to know more, always searching for that answer and art and religion offer offer that temporal relieve like a drug

Your argument is illogical. This world is a material world. Both science and religion acknowledge that. Your thoughts and emotions are very material as they depend on the environment, hormones and your brain.

You cant just make up a premise and throw it in an argument. Who told you that the immaterial rules the material?
