With less than one month to the 2015 general elections, a youth group has urged Nigerians, especially the youth, to vote massively against the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President Goodluck Jonathan as a clear message of national revolt against rampant corruption, insecurity and administrative incompetence of the PDP government.
The appeal was made by an umbrella group for youth and student organisations in Lagos State known as the Buhari/Osinbajo Youths Squad (B.O.Y.S.), which canvassed full support for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group lamented that under President Jonathan’s watch, Nigeria now has “the highest number of internally displaced persons with a figure put at 3.3million.”

It also fingered the president’s failure to solve the incessant attacks by Boko Haram insurgents, forced evictions, and needless competition for resources as major causes of Nigeria’s present problems.

B.O.Y.S. called on Nigerian youths to work together and use their votes to salvage Nigeria by supporting and voting the Gen. Buhari/Prof. Osinbajo team into office next month.

It recalled last year’s loss of lives and confirmed extortions during the Nigeria Immigration Service employment scam, and pointed out that the federal government has done nothing to pacify the aggrieved or bring the perpetrators to justice.

“We implore all meaningful youths of this country to come out and join the volunteer team to help spread the gospel of good governance, respect for rule of law, orderly society, anti-corruption, transparency and nation building which General Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo stand for and are known for,” the group concluded.
