Former Acting Governor of Adamawa State and Speaker of the Assembly, James Barka has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC)along with other defectors.
Barka’s defection was announced by the chairman of the party in the state, Shuaibu Yamusa at the APC governorship campaign rally in Ganye.
Barka had aspired for governorship in the aborted October 2014 by-election in the state.
Responding on behalf of the defectors, Barka said he left the ruling PDP as a result of the party’s failure to conduct it’s affairs in accordance with the provision of its constitution and democratic norms.

. word! but I think dis thief needs more than just a reminder. dis are d types of polithiefcians dt held adamawa down for a long time, ensuring d state couldn't match her peers in devlopmntal terms. dis's old gongola for heavens sake! he's a leader of d gang dt taught nyako how not to perform. he led d house dt almost impeached him (if not for intervention frm abuja) for asking questions when he came back after 3mnths away only to come back n meet empty treasury & empty garage in govt house. the HA members shared almost everything worth a value. i believe d party's leaders wd put him where he belongs.

This acting governor being refered to here (james Barka) acted for 2 months 7 years ago. Infact he is not even popular in PDP. So it is just like him going back to where he originally belongs.
