Kerry even has his hands in his pocket ,in defiance of diplomatic protocol, as if he is discussing with a plumber installing a new bathroom in his house. Nigeria ,as the biggest black nation on earth, needs a President who will demand and get respect because people identify with his reform-linked efficacy and productivity.

As things stand, because he has messed up so horrendously and irresponsibly, GEJ is a very difficult President to respect or even reckon with. GEJ's incompetent and accidental 'boy boy' Presidency of 5 years , which only showed he is an abjectly mediocre individual placed far above his station, means other world leaders cannot even be bothered to treat him with the minimum respect required. Obama can have his hands in his pocket talking to a direct peer like Cameron or Merkel. Vice versa. Yet Kerry, a US secretary of State, is treating the Nigerian President with disdain by not maintaining the appropriate behaviour that protocol demands be accorded to Presidents and heads of State by all others junior to them. Can Pius Anyim be speaking to Obama with his hands in his pocket? Sad. Very sad. Yet,it did not begin with Kerry. We saw Hilary, in the now famous picture with our President,appearing to lecture our chaste and starstruck GEJ with his hands behind his back like a schoolboy being told off by a teacher.
