BOTSWANA ADVISES NIGERIA TO SEEK T.B. JOSHUA’S HELP OVER BOKO HARAM
Members of the Botswana public have sent an unusual message to Nigeria as they seek military support from Africa in the increasingly challenging fight against the Islamist insurgent group Boko Haram.

A report from Yarona FM News, one of Botswana’s leading radio stations, sampled public opinion concerning the appeal by the African Union for its members to send soldiers to Nigeria to assist in the fight against Boko Haram.

According to the report, the majority of people spoken to urged against the Botswana Defence Force troops being sent to provide military aid to Nigeria.

“Some members of the public who say sending soldiers away would expose them to unnecessary dangers argue, among other things, that Nigeria should look to the famous televangelist TB Joshua for divine intervention,” Yarona FM reported.

These sentiments come on the backdrop of reports that the government seem undecided on whether or not it should send Botswana Defence Force troops to Nigeria.

Facebook comments on the report reiterated the public mindset. “When you send soldiers there, they will be fighting the wrong battle,” Thero Matsuakata stated. “These people are led by evil spirits! Prophet T.B. Joshua talked about this long ago.”

However, a minority still insisted Botswana should provide the requested aid. “It would be very selfish of our government if they ignored this plea,” wrote Ken Pul Kol.

“Soldiers are trained for such things as much as a doctor is trained to save a patient's life! What if we are befallen by the same thing tomorrow,” she queried. “Do we really want the world to look sideways and pretend we aren’t dying?”

Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua gained prominence in Botswana following his crusade in 2005 that packed the National Stadium in Gabarone. His television station Emmanuel TV remains one the most closely followed channels in the country.

These people are enemies of Nigeria. To suggest that TB Joshua is a reasonable option in the effort against BH is borderline seditious rhetoric.

Why exactly should we seek TBJ? Is he not a Nigerian? If he has what it takes to stop the fulfilment of the Biblical prophecy why will he wait for us to specially consult him? The rise of Islam and their activities is what any Bible student shd know and expect to happen. Wen satan challeeged God that he(satan) will ascend and sit on the mount inthe side of the North and be worshipped as God. How do we expect him to do that? He has to come up with his own religion, Jews/Christian look alike, but will force everyone on his side to proof to God that he can do it. Check Islam very well. Am not supprised at what the Muslim worldwide r doing. They r just servants carrying out the biddings of their Master the devil. Until the time appointed, they will continue.

Like I said, seditious rhetoric. Or mockery. These people are laughing at Nigeria while pretending to reveal helpful information. Instead of helping to finance a military campaign against these stone age barbarians, they're sending us to consult a man who narrowly escaped death himself when his oracle building collapsed killing over 100 people.

...we do not need to be unnecesarily emotional at the response of the Batswanas! Let's ask simple questions:

why are our armed forces inadequate?

The camerounian soldiers have succeeded in proving to the Boko Haram insurgents that they are up to the tasks. What is in their manner of operations that we lack?

I thought we sent for the help of the US, what happened with that arrangement?

There are allegations of sabotage within the military, why hasn't this been addressed?

If Nigerian soldiers are being killed like rats, what would be the fate of the Batswana soldiers? And if places are switched and your father is a sergeant in the army would you support the idea that the Nigerian authorities send troops (including your dad) to a battle in Botswana that Batswana soldiers are loosing with heavy casualties?

The message of the Batswanas is that Nigeria's problem is intractable, mysterious, obscure and meaningless so why commit human resources towards solving such a problem when equally intractable, mysterious, obsure and meaningless paranormal solutions can be availed

Nigeria has sent soldiers to foreign African countries in the past. The ECOWAS military delegations to Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Ivory Coast were almost exclusively Nigerian. To say that the Nigerian presence in these countries saved lives is an understatement.

However, Botswana is not in west Africa, and so I suspect some ulterior motives behind this suggestion of theirs.

Back then, any time there was any hint of trouble in any country, before you can say jack, Nigeria would have sent soldiers there on peace keeping mission. Many of our soldiers have died in foreign lands on peace keeping missions. Infact we were lauded by international organizations for our peace keeping efforts. Now we are the ones in need of military help from our African brothers and the response has been lukewarm to say the least. Ghana is so afraid that they pulled down political billboards out of fear of boko haram. We are being left to our fate.

No it wasn't, ask any Liberian or Sierra leonean and they will tell the soldiers that commanded the most respect were the Ghanaian and Senegalese soldiers. There were plenty nigerian soldiers but they were not properly train and properly equipped.

Nigeria army run at sound of firecrackers.

Bokoharam has defied many of the Nigerian Spiritual Consultants. The bold ones who came out straight to prophecy, decree and threaten the Bokoharam psychos are now threading with care
Starting with Bishop Oyedepo, In a broadcast in front of tens of thousands followers, he declared 'I curse Bokoharam' and a resounding Amen followed. Apparently, the Bishop does know that a Christian should not curse. But because he has positioned himself in the mind of his followers as someone with the ability to bless those who empty their pockets to his Winners Inc. to provoke increase. It is possible the adherents get the desired increase but in the case of Curse it is not Biblical for him(a man) to curse anybody. And That's why despite the urgency, seriousness in his facial expression, the top of his voice decree, the repetitions of the curse, years down the line the curse has had no effect
Laws of Good and blessing, Evil and Curses are eternal principles that were as old as the existence on earth. Actions get consequences.
Oyedepo's decree/curse is not required for the consequences of the BH's actions to manifest . It is like he cursing Satan. Satan is already doomed, BH elements are doomed already. The timing of their doom is not in the hands of a Bishop
Unless Bishop Oyedepo meant Spell which is an Occultic term and action. In that case, he will have some comparison with the others in the comments below

Prophet TB Joshua, in a live broadcast spoke passionately or rather prophesied that Bokoharam will end in 2013, he mentioned a particular month (on or before). While the time was approaching, he gave another prophecy that a more deadlier sect will emerge perhaps annulling the previous prophecy when it was clear that BH called a bluff of his earlier prophecy.
Last year Chibok girls were kidnapped, in one his broadcast he said the girls will be released soon. And then again while trying to unravel the sudden collapse of his building, heussed so many groups including BH for complicity acc

Also last year, 2014, the National Association of Witches and Wizards met in Benin, Edo State to discuss the issue of insurgency. A press release followed where they stated that their expertise in spiritual matters will end BH by December 2014. This is January 2015, they are yet to issue another press release why there mission to Sambisa forest has failed to provide us with results
It is pertinent at this point to note that BH are outlaws and can be wiped into oblivion by a tactfully sound, well equiped security forces, Foreign help in terms of coalition forces willbe required

Believe me, you don't know what you're talking about. But since we're on the internet, let's try to eliminate the anecdotes. Where's your proof? Whenever people speak of ECOMOG, they really mean Nigeria. There were no Senegalese soldiers in Liberia. I've asked. We can search through the files and see. Here's a nice article on ECOMOG intervention in West Africa.

That Ghanaian army had absolutely squat on the readiness of the Nigerian army and the overwhelming number of soldiers as well as the funding for the project, were provided by Nigeria. This is not propaganda, or a display of nationalism. It is the truth.

More anecdotes. How can we have a reasonable conversation if you insist on asserting things without providing evidence?

Here is another BBC article on ECOMOG, which includes estimates of funding and troop resources provided by member states.

A non-standing military force, Ecomog was made up of soldiers from the national armies of member nations. In practice, regional giant Nigeria contributed most of the troops, materiel and financial backing.

In 2001 the Nigerian president said his country had spent $13bn on peacekeeping operations over 12 years. Hundreds of Nigerian soldiers were thought to have been killed in operations in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Ecomog soldiers finally left Liberia in 1998, and won recognition for helping to re-establish stability

If you're going to disagree, have the decency to present a paper trail, something that supports your side of the argument. Otherwise all you're doing is insulting the memories of the soldiers that lost their lives following orders.
