I belong to a group of professional ideologists that cut across the nation and with a population of not less than 5,000 members. Having rated Jonathan's performance since the past six years, we have all decided that it is the time for change. In our group, we make a clear definition of the change we want. In our rating, Jonathan failed significantly in the following aspect of Governance:

(a) Security: Even though the Boko Haram saga as been blamed on the utterances made by the disgruntled Northern politicians, we honestly beleive that has C-in-C, it is in his stead to provide solution

(b) Corruption: The fact that the president believes that technology should be deployed to fight corruption does not mean that people who are cut in a clear-case of corruption should be given soft landing. This breeds impunity and should not be encouraged.

(c) Unemployment: We know that the YOUWIN programme was geared at tackling unemployment but the massive fraud in immigration recruitment (a case where job seekers were made to pay a sum of N1,000.00 to apply for job) only for a good number to get stampeded to death upon which no recruitment was done nor the amount paid refunded is worrisome.

We are able to acknowledge that the government has her achievement in the area of transportation, Agriculture, education etc, but we strongly beleive the above 3 critical area reduced the overall net-worth of the present administration.

It was on this note we decided there is a need for change. However, the first thing we consider is the agent of change himself. We believe a man cannot give what he does not have. (Nemo dat quod non habet). So we reasoned that the President himself must be a man of impeccable character, untarnished integrity and uncompromising dignity. When GMB was adopted by APC as their presidential flag-bearer, We ran a quick check based on the information available at our disposal and even though we have reservation in certain area, we concluded he was more preferable to the incumbent and hence we settled for him as we continued to sensitize people around us to canvass votes for him.

When the issue of Certificate saga was raised, we just believed the general will overcome it by coming out clean to prove his antagonist wrong and like many believe, we did not buy the possibility of someone of his standing not having WASC.

What we expected him to do was just to make a request to the certificate awarding body and get a copy to silent those feeding on the certificate saga to his political detriment. This would have immediately nipped it in the bud, but the whole saga lingered even as we continued to defend him everywhere that there is no way he would not have the certificate.

Two days before the Military spokesperson categorically stated the Army has no copy or the original or the CTC of the WASC certificate of the general and that the only document was a letter written by his Principal in 1961 promising on his behalf that Buhari will pass his papers, one of our executive members had asked in our meeting saying "Are we really sure this man has the certificate" and we all said he must have it. He asked further 'how do we know he must have it?" and He said the rule of the game his 'Proof" He must proof it to Nigerians beyond all reasonable doubt that he has it. The senior colleague went further to say getting one certificate even, if it is lost is not that difficult. He pointed out we should remember what our Organization stands for-Honesty and Integrity and when integrity is been called to question, there is a big issue.

It was a shocker when the military came out to say they have no certificate of the general. This hurts us so badly because the integrity of the man we brand and market so much is at the verge of being punctured. When the general promised to hold a press conference on the issue on the second day, we had a renew hope, even though we know that already, there is an already an element of perjury in the whole saga, even if the certificate is now produced. The fact that the general deposed to an affidavit claiming that he has the certificate with the millitary, only for the later to deny the custody of the certificate has already constituted an act of perjury unless he is able to proof that the certificate was loss in the custody of the millitary. In any case, we were still hopeful, giving benefits of the doubt

Patiently we waited for the second day believing our general would show us the certificate or a convincing evidence, but to our dismay and disappointment, all the general said was that 'He had assumed all this while that his certificates were with the millitary'. Personally I almost shed tears when I heard this statement because I know the implication of it. You do not depose an affidavit under assumption. It is a grivious offense that is punishable by 14 years imprisonment. Worst is it that even the general said that he school will publish his certificate as soon as it is available. At this level, we realized something is fishy about the whole saga. The procedure should be Buhari (who has the burden of proof to salient his antagonists and gain voters' support) to send a mail to Cambridge/WAEC, stating his exam details and scanning his affidavit for the misplacement of the original copy and requesting for a CTC to be sent to him through his school where he wrote the Exam in 1961. With this, all this noise about certificate this, certificate that would have ended and the political gladiators would have been put to shame. This would have made our job simple and it would have drawn more supporters who would have respected him for impeccable integrity for him but on the contrary, what we saw flying around on the internet is one haggard-looking statement of result and reports sheet that look so amateurishly doctored and intelligently fabricated. This do not serve as certificate and as a matter of fact does not convince us.

We have asked time without number, why is it difficult for GMB to get a copy of his certificate from Cambridge/WAEC and we seem not to getting any answer to that.

Yes it easy for us to say that the issue of certificate is not as important as issue of corruption, unemployment, security etc (even as opined by the General in his press release following the military denial of the custody of his certificate) But the way we are seen it is this:

If a man can swear an affidavit that his certificates are with the military and it is found to be a lie, How can we have a guarantee that he is not an embodiment of lies and how can we entrust him with the management of this nation especially at this crucial time?

If a man can (as far back as 1961) can claim he has a qualification he does not have, how can he convince us he can taclke corruption even when himself is having an onus of corruption hanged on his neck?

How can a man who has grown through the rank and file of millitary to become a general without the basic entry qualification value the virtue of quality education, diligence and hard-work?

How can a man who is having a suspicion of forgery and perjury beamed all around him understand the concept of good governance and positive policy formulation in a democratic setting?

It is easy to say after all, he went to US war college etc., in law, Ex nihilo, nihili fit (You cannot build something or nothing). If he cannot produce his WASC certificate, then it means all other qualifications and experience a built on nothing, hence they are ultra vire -null and void.

So the issue is not about the certificate now, it is about his integrity. It is about his dignity. It is about his personality and it is about the future of this nation. This nation cannot be allowed to move fro frying pan to fire. If we cannot move foward, it is better we remain on a safe spot as we cannot afford to move backward.

Having considered this, there is an urgent need for the general to come clean out of this mess. There is a need for restoration of his integrity which is now been trampled upon. The general should expedite action to get a CTC of his certificate from awarding body and not the 'oluwole' being paraded all over the internet. Even if a case of perjury is picked against him, the availability of the certificate from the awarding Institution will serve as a good basis of defending himself.

As for me and my group, the issue of certificate must be sorted out before he can get our votes. We, as a matter of principle, cannot afford to support person(s) with questionable integrity to be leader(s) in this nation

all buhari's fans that are supporting illegality too know it is not right for him not to show his certificate to put the records straight, but for their hatred for GEJ, they are blind folded.
