I read in the papers today that the former President – Matthew Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo has asked INEC to conduct a free and fair election Well to my mind, Obasanjo does not in any way possess the moral rectitude to ask for free and fair elections. The election that brought him in as President in 1999 was gravely flawed but had to be accepted because according to one writer "he just had to win" there was no way those who brought him up would have allowed Olu Falae to win the election. In 2003 Obasanjo presided over the worst election in the political history of this Country; an election that was held under a war situation of do or die.
