Following the calls for the resignation of the Independent Electoral Commission chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega by different groups, the INEC helmsman has said that the news about his resignation was a conspiracy theory as he revealed he won't resign unless there's legitimate need to do so...

Prof. Jega made this known during the announcement of election postponement in Abuja while fielding questions from journalists present there...He said;

If there are sufficient grounds for me to resign, I'll resign but I assure that I will not resign". "Instead of me to show bias and support one party over another in this job, I'll rather resign". "I will not be distracted by calls for resignation, I will only resign if there are legitimate reasons"
