mikeansy: There is no law in our constitution that prevent INEC from confirming that a candidate for the election meet the requirements as stipulated by our constitution. And the INEC has the power to disqualify any candidate that failed to meet the constitutional requirements. The case of Atiku has nothing to do with constitutional requirements, and no court find Atiku guilty of any criminal offence. So on what basis do you think court will allow INEC to disqualify Atiku. To simplify it for you, INEC has power to disqualify a candidate based on the following reasons: 1. If you don't meet educational requirements 2. If you have criminal records 3. If you violate any of the electoral guidelines |
