Rivers State, again recorded another sign of political violence Tuesday when three improvised explosive devices went off in Okrika, Rivers State. The bombing took place in Okrika, hometown of the First Lady, Dame Patience Faka Jonathan. The explosion caused an abrupt end to the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally planned to hold in the town. It was gathered that hundreds of party faithfuls eagerly waiting for the leaders og the party had to scamper to safety as the deadly bombs exploded. The casualty rate is yet unknown. Okrika in the oil-rich State is gradually becoming a hotbed of violence in the build up to the general elections.
