Even as Nigerians continue to complain about the earnings of their lawmakers and other public office holders, a recommendation to allow former National Assembly presiding officers enjoy pension for life, has been approved by the state Houses of Assembly as part of the ongoing amendment to the 1999 Constitution, earlier passed by the National Assembly.
Nigeria’s former leaders, including those who came to power through military coups are already enjoying the privilege. Past Chief Justices of the Federation are also beneficiaries.

political position and money nawa o. its just like poring water to the ocean. when more than 80% of her citizen are leaving in poverty..... some political craps will be collecting salary till death do them part......

i know something like this will easily gain law makers attention and i must say that this is not constitution but a looting mechanism i called self help addendum

Meanwhile, outside the Nigerian parliament some jobless youth can't see anything wrong with this. Hopefully by the time they open their eyes it would not be too late for them.
