Re: I Am In Dilemma, Do We Relocate To Canada Or Stay Back by sukkot: 9:36pm On Feb 28, 2015 |
shinejackie:[b]oh yes. buhari is the winner already. it has been determined in the celestial realm. and under him nigeria will be the greatest country in the world ( ok an exagerration lol but one of the greatest ). africa is done doing its punishment and the west is starting its punishment so prosperity and peace is returning to africa while the west falls into despair. nigeria will be the center of this prosperity. oil will be done away with and a cleaner source of energy will be introduced. this is why the price of oil has bottomed out. because the world leaders have the new technology so they are trying to sell all the oil stocks they have and are not buying from countries anymore. now with buhari, when he gets into power you will see a new man. he will be very strict and have zero tolerance for corruption. all the corrupt will be rounded up and locked up, even those who sponsored his campaign like tinubu. he will turn on them all and arrest every one of them. all of this is happening in 2015. and like i said, the LORD will once again smile on africa. the rise of africa is here. buhari will run a very tight ship. ttmacoy: Yeah Nigeria is currently under threat from insurgency buh how often do u hear things like a high school kid suddenly wakes one morning n decides to kill his school mates with guns he can easily pruchase from a road side store? I mean how often do u here such happening in naija? Imagine having to travel for vacay in atlanta n ur host tells u not to come with red or blue clothing so as not to b mistaken for a blood or a crip! Or being stabbed to death by a group of young boys n girls becos u stepped on his sneakers?! The murder rates of countries especially in d americas is so alarmingly high that if u decide to compare,u wud find that nigeria is still learning...funniest part is,one idiot can decide to kill u one morning becos he knows fully well that he can either claim temporary insanity or bipolar disorder n get 5 years in jail or even 25 to life of which after 10 years he is out for good behavior...whr is the security in that? 1 Like 2 Shares |

shinejackie:all that is just staged for the people. the world already knows buhari has won. thats why he is visiting world leaders everywhere. which contestant of an election in a country goes around taking visits from kerry and tony blair etc etc ? its all illuminati driven, and the illuminati have powers and they know who has been chosen. thats why they are sending world leaders to go visit buhari. he is the winner. he has won. all this election thing is just to entertain the masses but the winner has already being chosen. what they are giving you is an illusion of democracy 1 Like |

Demainman1:buhari has won. GEJ has been axed out. the way the world works, the world leaders all operate in unison. all the wars and disagreements they have and wars they fight are all just for the masses. but behind closed doors they are all a unit. if you try to get out of line they kill you ( saddam and ghaddafi ). they are all the enlightened ones. now beginning of each year they put out a magazine called the ECONOMIST letting those with the eye to see know what will happen for the year. the 2015 edition, they have jonathan in it with his head cut off from his body. this is how they show who will no longer be part of the fold in 2015. so jonathan has being kicked out. buhari is their new man 1 Like |

ttmacoy: Don't mind them. A good amount of Nigerians are idiots who don't know how to build a functional 1st world country. The taxes they complain about or mock is what keeps these countries going. They'll say you get taxed to death here but once they earn their salary over there, by the time they pay for their kids schooling, healthcare, etc themselves, they don't know people abroad probably takes home more ? If it's so expensive to live abroad and cheaper back home why am I supporting my family over there and still managing to support my family over here ? They also don't know how the mortgage system works here. Then again they compare a good functional house with all the essential amenities, to the poorly built/crap craftsman ship houses back home. 13 Likes 1 Share |

sukkot: So you didn't go to Canada looking for opportunities. Instead you cam to Toronto Canada due to the NBA. Basically to watch a grown man put an orange ball into a metal rim. Then you were surprised to find out there was snow in Toronto Canada and it was cold. Then you went to a friends place who lived in a run down area and you felt that's how ALL blacks in Toronto or Canada lived. So after that you had to leave, got on a plane and went all the way to Ethiopia PASSING naija? You seem like a young man with no wife/children who just travels all over the world with a back pack. I also have no doubt your refugee claim was denied in Canada making you unable to live here. My friend you are not qualified to give this woman advice even if you're entitled to your own opinion. Lastly, will you ever go back to the Nigeria you keep on bragging about ? 12 Likes 1 Share |

ephi123: @ ephi123 and sukkot ...I will add to your take Last Friday, I slipped and fell on Oxford Street...flat fall, leg twist, small cry, okay big cry escapes....(luckily two buses were just parked, nearest oncoming vehicle was like 15 seconds away) Meanwhile street was busy, filled with a lot of people, a lone voice asks if I was all right I got up, limped across, and stayed down for like four minutes, getting my bearings.... A tiny lady comes and asks if I was going to be all right...(A lady who I assume has faced some ?discrimination cos of her dwarfism, and has empathy maybe as a result?)...just her...everybody just moved right along ...In Naija, people would lift you up, sorrys will follow you, even reprimands of "what were you thinking about?".....making you know you are surrounded by human beings I entered Aldo, the first guy that came to show me shoes was chatty, and asked if I was Nigerian, that he is Igbo, grew up in Cameroon and London and can only say kedu... Well the warmth that enveloped me with his words tipped me over the edge...I cried a bit ...okay more than a bit I guess it was an accumulation of all the things you said, then a girl in class making a racist comment, other such ignorant comments, and the YouTube video of a girl saying to a black man in a train, that "all of you are slaves', then the fall Well I type incoherently cos I guess I am still affected, but no matter how much/long I stay here or in the Western world, my heart beats with the pulse of Africa, and I will always long for the sun, development or none...will always prefer it to here, with its warts and all....all I am doing here, is so I can take a bit of progress back home asap After all, if not for for slave trade and colonisation, we probably would be doing mighty things, the African way...now it is all spoilt...and we will always be measured and will lag behind our "liberators"...I at times feel a wave of nostalgia for that religion which I never got to know, the culture I never experienced etc I can only say I am in tremendous awe of people ...black Africans who assimilate so well in the Western world, so much so they start resenting or cursing their roots (Shudders all the same) 5 Likes 3 Shares |

While I understand the attraction of newfoundland from a cost perspective, you also have to consider the post mba job opportunities. Typically cheaper schools with lower entry standards have less career opportunities than their better ranked counterparts who are more expensive and have higher entry standards. An easy test is to search for graduates of the program on LinkedIn to see where they end up, and also see if the school has a career report to see what companies come to campus to recruit. Cost should not be the only factor for an MBA. I see this a lot in the UK people to for an MBA because it's cheap and at the end cannot get a job because they just cannot compete with the better ranked programs which have better reputation and more industry links. As they say soup we sweet, nah money spoil am. You can hedge your bet by applying to newfoundland as back up, but also to some other higher ranked programs, try to ace the GMAT and you may get scholarships. Things to consider. irridemi: 2 Likes |

I really find it difficult to understand so many people who are "abroad" and will castigate all manner of people including the magnanimity of the host country for allowing you in and claiming citizenship. If you are not at peace where you are, please go back to Nigeria. Nigeria is your own country not anywhere else! You can't complain wherever you are and still remain there, it doesn't speak well of a sane mind. Truth is, it is not everybody that has had it smooth abroad neither can we safely conclude everybody "abroad" has had it rough. Even in Ghana, a former colleague who was transferred there complained of the treatment meted out to him by immigration officials who asked him for his work permit in the most ruthless manner. They didn't even allow him say nothing before he was bundled into their truck! In the end, he parted with a $200 bribe/fine. Hey, that's a black man to his fellow black man! Historically, human beings emigrate and will continue to do so in search of peace (or if you will, greener pasture). Some will find comfort in the course of the sojourn, others won't! Painting an all pathetic story of "abroad" has not and will not stop this. In fact, some people (especially the adventurous ones ) are more receptive to these stories and will like to experience such. The bottom line is, we all can't live in our own island pretending that other islands don't exist! Slavery or not, we all need one another. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

U couldn't have said it any better than this. Nigerians loves to complain without action. The person that said he has lived abroad and naija is still home, I wonder what he's still doing in the host country. solomonwis: 4 Likes |
