The story about mercenaries still caries no proof, perhaps some people here have been confusing the british military advisory and training team who are in Nigeria for a training and advisory mission with south african mercenaries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU8Y2ZsbZMc&t=124
thanks bro for posting the info |

sweetgala: Thank you for educating your fellow brothers. Use of mercenaries is against international laws. Same mercenaries are used in coups around Africa and for a democratic president to use such is criminal and corrupt. Whether Nigerians hate SA they cannot deny the involvement of the SA mercenaries in the fight against Boko Haram. The SA intelligence and home affairs has already sounded an alarm over these mercenaries and have established that the Nigerian president personally employed them and have issued the warrant of arrest for them when they get back to SA. If it is okay for Nigeria to screw up international laws it is not okay for them to use SA citizens to do so. The mercenaries faith is sealed unless they choose exile and Nigeria gives them citizenship. They are now international fugitives. 1 Like |

BluIvy: You have been reading too many Tom Clancy novels. Mercenaries, the "Dogs of War" have participated in virtually ALL armed conflicts that have occurred in Africa for the past half-century. While most of the Soldiers of Fortune are ex-military personnel, quite a number of thrill-seeking civilians do flock to war zones around the world, seeking to live out their boyhood dream of trading live fire with an enemy. Now defunct organisations like Executive Outcomes and Sandline International once openly advertised the services of highly trained military personnel to join the fray for a fee, anywhere in the world, but particularly in West and Central Africa. and the involvement of such mercenary groups did have tangible and timely effects on the outcome of many an African brush war. The term "Mercenary" is no longer as politically correct as it was the past few decades, so such guns-for-hire are referred to as "Military Advisers", "Security Consultants" and "Equipment Operation Training Personnel". With such implied legitimacy bestowed on them, the gentlemen once disparaged as mercenaries can retain their citizenship, dignity and freedom to travel worldwide without needing to be deceptive about their true identity. Have rifle, will travel. 2 Likes |

There is a multi-national joint task force fight Boko haram in the north east Multi means many! Multi-national means many nation! So the debate about the nationalities of the soldiers fighting alongside Nigerian soldiers in defence of the Nigerian people is a silly debate that can only come from enemies of progress! 2 Likes |

daddynasa: It's is obvious by the anger and reaction of the SA government , that they did not sanction citizens to provide technical support and training to the Nigerian armed forces and those "mercenaries" have an arrest warrant awaiting them in SA presently. That put's Nigeria in a diplomatic disadvantage. It is luring foreign nationals into it's military campaign without the consent of their nation, for peace of mind this guys should be relived of their job and sent back to SA with a diplomatic apology. If you do not understand military acquisitions and contracts , I can explain it briefly to you, if the boys in armed forces were smart they would know that - All acquisitions should include support and training stipulated for a period of time, Till there are enough Nigerians trainers who understand the technology and are competent enough to train further - All training would be done at a rear-ward base and not on the front-line, why risk your knowledgeable asset - Why escalate into a diplomatic fracas when these are the same nations we buy loads of military arsenal from, they'll simply turn around and not sell next time, we are also digging ourselves into a hole breaching the Geneva code and making other nations not want to sell. Nigerian Armed Forces need to start planning, military acquisition and building the army for future capabilities not reacting to current requirements , do we have a program to replace our small arms - No do we have a program for future multi-role fighter Jets - No Do we have a project for personnel airlift - No We don't even have a plan to develop our Tank or artillery to modern standards WORST OF ALL - DICON IS STILL A MONEY PIT , those fuktards have not developed anything in the last while , we even import ammunition cartridges for our small arms 3 Likes |

mikeansy: Multi-National does not mean multiple nationalities you slow poke, it means more than one country has reached an agreement to put together a coalition force(task force) under the leadership of a field marshal with a military mission . For that a code of conduct and a plan of assault is drawn. The ISAF is a multi-national joint task force , ECOMOG is a joint task force. What we have with Niger, Chad and Cameroon is a memorandum of agreement to equality deny BH access to cross the borders at will |

BEEGAGLE’S BLOG 7 March, 2015 This weekend, Nigerian opposition knuckleheads, ever so eager to discredit, floated photographs of what were supposedly South African mercenaries riding in REVA MRAPs. While the controversy raged on in Nigerian cyberspace, a respected aficionado of South African extraction went to town on his own volition and after exhaustive enquiries, wrote to confirm the fact that the contentious photograph was photoshopped. The photos were certainly not shot in Nigeria. So take those photographs circulating in cyberspace to be another bad example of how far the desperadoes in Nigeria’s political opposition will go to discredit the military and the FG which controls it. They should be ashamed of themselves. READ these excerpts Beegs Just saw the Linda Ikeji post and the ensuing discussion on your site. For what it’s worth, those pics were taken in Guinea Equatorial: 1) The rear view of Vehicle 2C shows an EG flag and the signpost is in Spanish; 2) The Oando reference of your correspondents doesn’t hold up – the company operates throughout West Africa; and 3) More important, that’s the MKIII version, which EG acquired in 2013. END I am pleased to inform you, gentlemen, that pursuant to the unprecedented build-up of assets which the Nigerian Army are undergoing, we are also now operators of the latest REVA Mk.5 MRAPs and battlefield ambulances. In the days ahead, we shall begin to see them in the field. Watch this space. https://beegeagle./2015/03/07/expert-opinion-says-supposed-photo-of-south-african-mercs-in-reva-mraps-were-not-taken-in-nigeria/ 1 Like 1 Share |
