BREAKING: Police Summon El-rufai, Other APC Bigwigs, Hours To Elections by Franchise21(m): 5:07pm On Mar 27, 2015
The Kaduna state Police Command on Friday summoned the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Nasir El-Rufai, and two other bigwigs of the party to report for questioning in their offices.
Summoned to appear along with Mr. El-Rufai are Suleiman Hunkuyi and Lawal Yakawada.

Mr. Hunkuyi is the APC senatorial candidate for Kaduna North and chairman of the APC Kaduna state campaign council while Mr. Yakawada, who was secretary to the state government  in the Patrick Yakowa government, is a senior member of the APC campaign council.
All three were invited by the deputy commissioner of police in charge of the CID.

Samuel Aruwan, the spokesman for the APC campaign council said, the police have followed up the written invitation with telephone calls.
The intent behind requesting the three top leaders of the opposition to report on the eve of the election is to hold them down until the election ends, Mr. Aruwan said.

It is not clear why the Police want to question the three men but party insiders suggested the invitation has to do with a petition about destruction of billboards in Zaria.
The APC claims it has been a victim of widespread vandalisation of its assets, saying the action of the police “is part of a campaign to slap criminal charges on the opposition for actions for which it has already been victimized”.

In response to the invitation, Yusuf Dankofa, an associate professor of law and counsel to the APC, has written to the police, notifying them that there is an ongoing court action at the Federal High Court in Kaduna regarding the events in Zaria.
In a letter to the commissioner of police, Mr. Dankofa said the pendency of the case prevents the police from taking any action in connection with the matter, as “that would not only amount to an act of sub judice, but would also translate to a total disregard for justice and a further desecration of the hallowed majesty of our courts.”
“In view of this fact that the above mentioned people’s application is before the court, the matter has been further adjourned to the 29th of April 2015 for further arguments and with this the court has been seized of this matter,” Mr. Dankofa said.

The police is yet to respond to Mr. Dankofa’s letter.
Meanwhile, the APC says it has been alerted to a plot to arrest some of its chieftains in Southern Kaduna.
They include party chairman and gubernatorial running-mate, Barnabas Yusuf Bala (Bantex), Mikaiah Tokwak, Ishaya Iko, a retired vice-admiral and Ben Kure, Director General of Kaduna APC Campaign Council.

And so what?

Will that stop us from electing/voting El-Rufai/GMB?

DSS if you like arrest all the national and state executive of APC.

Anyway we have decided to vote GMB/PYO/el-rufai and others.

Simply give Hell Rufai the Peter Obi treatment in November 2013 Anambra Gubernatorial Election.
He was locked up in his Awka Hotel room till the end of the election.
He kept ranting through fb and twitter till APGA was declared winner.

I hope southern Kaduna won't vote for this Fulani tribal bigot. They are doomed if he ever becomes governor!

They're divided between Yero of PDP and El rufai of APC. But when it comes to Presidential elections, they're supporting PDP

I won't ever vote for el-rufai if I was from southern Kaduna after what he said about revenging the death of a Fulani, even if it would take twenty years. He has never condemned the carnage by the Fulani on the people of southern Kaduna. El-rufai is a bloody tribalist!

Fellow Nigerians,

The stakes are high! This election is not about what language you speak, what village you come from, what religion you practice or where you live. It is about the soul of Nigeria, it is about the collective future of all of us and our unborn children and grand children. It is about making Nigeria great again.

Tomorrow is very crucial in the history of Nigeria. Many have predicted a total disintegration of the country and many have predicted a civil war. We don't envisage any of that, even though these threats to our dear nation is real and frightful, regardless, we have decided to stand on the side of hope. We also believe that hope is the side you will stand on.

After so much incitement to violence, hate campaigns, election postponement and billions spent/wasted, we have finally come to the crux of destiny. We are presented with two men. One under whose watch many of our brother and sisters have been mercilessly slaughtered. A man whose response to one of the mass slaughters of our young boys was to dance with a strange woman who backed "it" up on him. A man whose response to the killing of at least 2000 people in Bama was to send a condolence message to the President of France. This option that is presented to us have presided what over what was described recently by the New York Times as theft in "industrial scale".

Fellow Nigerians, we for once in our history have a different viable away-from-the-pack option, who stands in a mega opposition, a man who will take Nigeria to the very next step we all long and desire for. As we go out tomorrow, let us remember that our vote is a vote for the very life of Nigeria.

It is with these premises that I, CramJones, wholeheartedly, unreservedly and fully endorse Lt. General Muhammadu Buhari. I stand for CHANGE, I stand for integrity, I stand for a secure, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria!

We must realize that when CHANGE has come to stay, no force, no military, no police, no DSS, no babalawo, absolutely nothing can stop it!

"For the only thing constant in the world is CHANGE" We can do it. We will do it. CHANGE we will get!

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
