Re: Election Results With Pictures by Dbakre1: 2:02pm On Mar 29, 2015
The voting pattern in Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections across the country showed a close race between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in some states, while there were wide margins between the two parties in several other states across geo-polical zones. Early results from some polling units also showed a lot of surprises as some prominent politicians could not deliver their polling units and in some cases, wards to their respective parties. Counting was ongoing in several polling units in the early hours on Sunday.

In Kano, Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Salihu Sagir Takai, Senator Bashir Lado, and Presidential aide, Hajia Baraka Sani, could not deliver their Kawaji ward as APC won the presidential and National Assembly elections there. In the presidential election, APC scored 514 while PDP got 15 votes. APC got 442 votes in the Senatorial election while PDP got 84. In the House of Representatives election in the ward, APC got 474 while PDP got 47. Also, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali, lost his polling unit to APC. While PDP scored 18, APC scored 137 in his polling unit in Nasarawa local government. In Race Course polling unit 067, APC scored 292 votes, PDP got 13, while in Hotoro South Ward 6, APC scored 249, PDP 6. It was also gathered last night that Governor Rabiu Kwakwanso was in early lead in his constituency in Madobi local government where he is contesting for Kano Central Senatorial District.

In Gidan Ja'oje Ward Gidan Kara in Wamakko local government area of Sokoto State, Governor Wamakko‘s ward, APC won the presidential election recording 534 votes as against PDP’s 6 votes. The party also recorded 524 votes in the Senatorial election while PDP got 9 votes. In that same ward, APC got 513 votes in the House of Representatives election while PDP got 13.

In Edo State, President Jonathan was clearly leading his APC rival Gen. Buhari. PDP was leading in Edo South and Edo Central Senatorial Districts. In Edo North Senatorial District, home to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, APC and PDP were running neck-to-neck. Collation of results was ongoing in the early hours of Sunday.

In APC, candidate Muhammadu Buhari’s Sarikin-Yara polling unit in Katsina state, APC scored 499 votes while PDP scored 0 in the presidential election.
Three votes were voided. For the Senate at that polling unit, APC got 478, PDP 18, PDM 3, while three votes were voided. APC scored 500, PDP scored 1, and APGA 1 in the House of Representatives election in that polling unit.
Vice President Namadi Sambo also delivered his new polling unit, Swimming Pool Road/ Police Gate (011) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Presidential and National Assembly election.

The presiding officer of the polling station, Mr. Olorunfemi Raphael, who announced the result said the PDP polled 105 in the presidential election in the polling unit while APC polled 20 votes.

Although Sambo's polling unit used to be at the Camp road polling unit 5, no reason was given for his decision to vote at the Swimming Pool Road/ Police Gate (011) polling unit.

He was initially expected to vote at Camp Road polling unit 6, but it was later moved to the Police gate where he and his wife, Amina voted.

Ondo

Although voting ended in all of Ondo State on Saturday, official results are yet to arrive at the state collation centre in Akure. The Resident Electoral Commissioner assured that the process though dragging is going on well and the needed announcements will be made in ‘no time. “We can only announce results that we have in our custody. Once they are in from the respective collating centers, we will surely announce the figures," he said. Having formerly fixed announcement of results for 12 noon, INEC officials have moved the time forward to 4 p.m. as some even doubt that it may take longer than that. Meanwhile, the party agents especially those of the two major parties, APC and PDP have been sighted in the INEC premises to monitor proceedings. Also there is the heavy presence of the police including mobile police officers as well as officials of the Nigerian Army and Civil Defence Corps.. Two Armored tanks are also stationed at the entry and exit road to the INEC office.

Many units had no result sheet. Nothing to paste.
Rivers, akwa ibom and Imo are particularly pathetic.
The results sheets were submitted to Jonah-daft cronies from the onset.
In my unit in ph, card reader worked well and voting was done and little or no skirmishes but counting wasn't done let alone pasting of results instead they carted the whole damn thing away.

Same here at Opobo but the difference is that, after the accreditation, army excorted the ballot boxes together with the INEC adhoc staffs to somewhere else. Really pathetic.

It's against the electoral acts, and grossly misleading to post unverified polls results since you're not INEC that's authorized to do so. Honestly, this act will be definitely abused or forment trouble if not that INEC earlier cautioned about it.

Any other sources of the 2015 general elections results are illegal, unverified, fake and misleading. smiley

There's nothing wrong with posting results here. I've been to Sahara Reporters, Naij.com, BBC twitter handle, etc. They're all announcing the results. Announcing results on social media help ensure rigging doesn't take place. This is the age of social media, friend.
