Jonathan vice Sambo didn't help him at all,Jonathan was contesting alone, with Buhari and Osinbajo. Both were pulling votes, while only Jonathan was pulling alone.Secondly,Jonathan wasn't desperate,he would have won easily,if he sponsored another strong Northerner in Labour Party to split d Northern votes! Jonathan has my respect for making dis great Sacrifice for peace to reign and our democracy to grow. When Buhari Lost 2011,he promised to make Nigeria Ungovernable, and we all saw what happened! Kudos Jonathan,Our Legend Forever! 1 Like |

REMININISCENCE 1). Are we "living just and true"? 2). Are we "faithful loyal and honest"? 3). Are we serving our "Fatherland with love and strength and faith in God"? 4). How are we making sure that the labour of our heroes past Shall neverbe in vain"? 5). How are we allowing God to help us "Direct our noble cause"? I AM PUTTING THIS TO BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS (Those who are no longer mere church goers)! How noble is it for us to speak evil against dignitaries who have fallen beyond our expectations? Suppose they are your physical blood brothers and sisters, would you speak evil by uttering hate speeches, writing and posting appalling things against them? Am sure we'll receive, "Let's not wash our dirty linen in the public"-caution. Suppose Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, have confessed Christ at one time or the other, would you be justified before God by joining numerous other enemies of theirs to speak evil against them, and in wanting to get back at them in bitterness? Our votes may have put him there up till the time another person climbs the throne, but in the spirit realm and beyond our votes, God's grace did it. Jesus declared that whatsoever one does to His child, good or evil, same is done to Jesus. If God takes His grace from us, we would do terrible things. The reason we have the grace is because of our imperfections. May be you might say, Oh No! "He is never a Christian or born again at all". Does becoming born again has some special sacrificial rites as against God's simple way in Rom 10:9 and 10, and 1 Jn 1:9? Let me even agree with you for the purpose of argument, that he isn't a Christian or a child of God like many would claim; but allow me to let you know that God can anoint a heathen to be a leader over His children in a nation. An example is found in Isaiah 45:1-6, where God affirmed His anointing on a heathen king, Cyrus because of Israel's sake. O how we have personalise "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm"! Thereby forgetting that this is also a warning for us not to touch the anointing on any other person whom God has set apart to do His bidding. And so whether he fails or succeeds, he does so to/against the one who put him in that position. Bitterness, and anger etc., have blinded too many people's eyes from recognising some of the good things GEJ has achieved in this nation. Many have become twisters of God's Word, in the sense that once someone they love does anything which no longer pleases them, they immediately take him as their enemy. Many Christians are guilty of this, and won't mind to leave the department or stop coming to church, and therefore wouldn't want not to set their eyes on that fellow again. God commands us to walk in love- Eph 5:3, and not to take the laws into our hands to revenge or hate anyone. If there was an enemy in the life of David, it would have been king saul. But still, for all he suffered under the rulership of Saul, when he died, David still called King Saul, "The Lord's anointed". How many of us as Christians have taken time to think that apart from the book of life that will be open when we all stand before God to be judged, that one of the other books might seriously be the book of love?-Rev 20:12. One man of God who narrated his ordeal of experiencing death and his return, said, when he died and got to the gate of heaven, a book was opened and the angel said to him, "If you hadn't reconciled with that woman, you would be going straight to hell." He had commanded his entire family not to ever attempt to greet his neighbour again because of strife that ensued between them. God won't forgive and grant you access to heaven if you don't forgive those who hurt you-Mrk 11:25-26. O! How I wonder how many Christians who speak in tongues will make heaven because of UN forgiveness and hate speech! We even have ensnared ourselves with the Lord's prayer: forgive us as we forgive those who sin against us-Lk 11:4 ( not forgive us as we forgive those who sin against us and asked to be forgiven) Jesus said, "Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." - Matthew 22:29 CONSIDER THUS SAITH THE LORD: James 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? 1Pet. 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile Jude 1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Acts 23:1 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. 2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. 3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? 4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? 5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people. Beloved child of God! If you don't have any good thing to say, please discipline yourself not to utter evil words. "Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at, 15:13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?"-Job 15:12 Child of God! I put it to you now by the Spirit of God, repent. No one is perfect, and it wouldn't be noble to speak against our leaders. God permits us to pray for them- 1 Tim 2:1-3 MY CONCLUSION: I congratulate Major General Mohamadu Buhari and Professor Osinbajo for their victory; I salute Professor Attahiru Jega that despite been in the midst of two deadly crossfire, he allowed his courage and integrity to vindicate INEC against its critics and their innuendos. Finally, I drop my cap for our incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan for the spirit he displayed firstly not to influence INEC to do otherwise, and secondly for calling GMB to congratulate him even before the final results were declared, and more importantly, for avoiding blood letting, thus proving that no politician's success is worth the blood of any Nigerian. Father! Thank you. Help Nigeria to fulfil her vision, in Jesus name. |
