So? Make we go use kettle boil beans.....undecided the IPP (Independent Power Project) his godfather, Tinubu, embarked upon refused to light Lagos so na Fashola go come perform wonder? undecided nonsense

oga ooo awon eyan sha! The IPP which tinubu embarked upon was not allowed to supply Lagos state electricity instead it was connected to the National Grid by OBJ led administration!

And @op | Fashola has done well but not all Areas in Lagos state is being provided with electricity though his administration tried in Lagos but i won't recommend Fashola as the Minister of Power instead i would recommend him as the Special Adviser to the President (his kind is needed) and if possible an additional portfolio in Minister for Justice (but it's like Femi Falana fits that!)

What are they gonna destroy and whats going to happen? Stop wishing us evil in that country, it shows you are still bitter about your party loss. I have an Uncle here that support and even sponsor PDP during the last election and has since moved on and always pray for the country.

Prophesizing doom for your own country is unpatriotic. Let them get there first before you criticize them. Haba.
May God bless Nigeria and Nigerians . And may peace reign supreme in Nigeria.

Fashola may be a brilliant lawyer but he is not an engineer. Late Bola Ige, SAN said he would give Nigeria uninterrupted power supply... the rest is history

But his ideas on power are working in Lagos.

I sincerely wish he gets the portfolio.

The idea that powering a few street lights and government offices with 2MW generators is more important that supplying electricity to homes and industries?
Please let that idea be restricted to Lagos or even the South west.
We don't need it here.

The idea is to have many of such small dedicated power plants across the nation from private investments to power important areas/sectors of the economy. It is easier to have 10,000 private investors producing 10 -50MW to power special areas than wait till we are able to build 20,000MW from few places. A 10 - 50MW plant can be built within 1 - 2 years compare to building 200 - 1000MW plants which might take many more years. Also it is easier for private investors to raise money to build 10 -50MW plants compare to sourcing fund to build 200 - 1000MW plants.

That is the idea Fashola is selling.

It is not cheap and easy to provide electricity but breaking down a big problem efficiently into many small problems to be handled by many hands is a good idea.

Also, having smaller power plants limits exposure to failure. Example if 30 houses all use one transformer, when the transformer goes bad, all 30 houses are in darkness but if you put 6 smaller ones, when one goes bad, only 5 houses in darkness.
