Why are they in such a hurry to go and spend their hard earned money abroad?

What do they believe they will achieve by going to the Middle East?

Is there a verse in the Bible that claims that they must visit the Middle East?

Why do Nigerian Muslims go on pilgrimages?

Was the Kaaba not constructed as a pagan icon?

Why are Muslims so eager to hand over their money to people in the Middle East?

Hubal (Arabic: هبل‎) was a god worshipped in pre-Islamic Arabia, notably at the Kaaba in Mecca. His idol was a human figure, believed to control acts of divination, which was in the form of tossing arrows before the statue. The direction in which the arrows pointed answered questions asked of the idol.

Why do Nigerian Muslims go on pilgrimages?

Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 97:
In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.

Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 27:
"And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways;

Was the Kaaba not constructed as a pagan icon?

It was constructed by Abraham and his son Ismael as a place of worship for Allah, It was after their time that the Paganist took over it as shrine for their gods. Then the prophet (SA) came and cleanse it by making the actual reason why it was built by Abraham and son stand.

Why are Muslims so eager to hand over their money to people in the Middle East?

Is that what your brain interprete it to be?

The Quraysh had several idols in and around the Kabah. The greatest of them was Hubal.

Allah is not Hubal.

Allah is not Hubal.

I know very well that Hubal is not Allah, Hubal came before Allah and there is proof that the Kaaba was made for the purposes of Hubal. The Kaaba was a pre-Islamic structure, how could it have been constructed for something that came much later?

Do you have outside verification (besides the Koran) that the Kaaba was constructed Abraham and that it was constructed for the benefit of Allah?

Is there any historical evidence as to the existence of 'Abraham'?

More than any outside verification and evidence than 'Jesus was god and he died for your sins', but you have no problem believing THAT.

Aha! Then leave muslims out of it and don't derail your own thread.

Besides, why are Muslim historians less reliable than non-Muslim ones? Are our historians less reliable than Josephus or Plato that we always have to find outside sources that are non-Muslim?

Fuming mad!!!

Someone made an erroneous statement - it is immoral to allow untruths to go unchallenged.

Muslim 'historians' are fine so long as they use good sources.
