FREEDOM IS A MIRAGE
Like the busy ants I toil daily
Carrying an aura of confidence
as though I know what lies ahead
But in reality all am aware of Is
were I am coming from.
Where I am heading to, I know not

I am enslaved by me
When will my tomorrow come?
When will this struggle end?
If only my life will end like the ones
portrayed in movies.
Like a toddler's dream of flying like the
superman, i hoped.

A slave to another Master is afar off better
than myself because he is persuaded that
good will always prevail over evil.
He fights today, not for himself but for
the freedom of his children.
Who will fight for me?
Guess am alone on this one.

Oh! How I long to sip from the cup of tranquility.
Death that I thought will be my Savior
who will snatch me, mount me on his
wings and take me to my grave, were
I will at long last gulp from the cup of
tranquility was actually a decoy, to
subtly change my place of residence
to start another life again.
Another life again?

My God! If only you sought my opinion
before bringing me into this world.
Seeking freedom in life is a mate
to a guilty inmate on death row
hoping to breathe the fresh air of freedom.
Freedom is a Mirage, I enacted
