Abia Governorship Election: Dr Okezie Ikpeazu Projected Winner.

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is projected as the Governor elect of Abia state, even before the conduct of the re-scheduled election in handful of Polling units across the state.
The affected polling units are in Osisioma, Ugwunagbo, Aba North, Aba South, Isialangwa South, Isialangwa North, Umuahia North, Umuahia south, Ohafia Arochukwu and Umunneochi. About 55% of these areas are stronghold of the leading candidate.

The results declared are as below.
Okezie Ikpeazu (PDP) ------ 248,459
Alex Otti (APGA) ------------- 165,406

Dr Ikpeazu is leading with a vote difference of 83,053 and an estimated 60,000 votes from the re-scheduled polling units will never change the results.

This is the right time for Dr Alex Otti accept the pbvious and congratulate his opponent for the peace and progress of Abia and Nigeria in general.

This issue is really heartbreaking. Ochendo is pulling every string to force his candidate on the people. There's been reports from indigenes and residents of the local government Obingwa, Isialangwa and Osisioma (not sure if this is the their one) where the election would be re-run, that public announcements via vehicles loaded with loud speakers are in all communities instructing people that nobody, (emphasis) nobody should vote APGA, in the re-run. their reason is that its the turn of an ngwa man to rule. Now I'm not against PDP desperate campaign at this dying minute. But outrightly telling the electorate what to do sounds like a breech of right to me. Sadly, I feel APGA is not doing enough, and though the masses want Otti, Ochendo may successfully impose his candidate with the way things are going.


Hopefully, despite the outright directive, people would use their head and vote in their choice. If not, then.......God help Abia.

God pls give my state the best governor that will move them forward, pls Lord.

As a political observer, am appalled by the party called APGA.

APGA has a first class candidate for Governorship of Abia, Dr Alex Otti who has almost been robbed of his obvious victory.what has been the reaction of APGA to this.

*the so called party chairman , Umeh is more concerned about the senate seat that he lost to pdp, he has also spent time to cook up conspiracy theories about a so called northern gang up that defeated jonathan.

*the abia state apga chairman even dumped otti to endorse ikpeazu [smh]
