1) Buy a mini-distributorship right of a company and startup ur distributorship chain.
2) if you're based in Ibadan, consider buying a Micra for transport and give it out on higher purchase @ a higher rate.
NB: a legal agreement is very important
3) u can as well join a very good MLM company with a good compensation and grow your biz.
4) u can venture into diesel biz Wit ur 500K also.
Etc.

Where do you leave in Nigeria. Well anyway, where you leave does not really matter as long as you have the zeal to make money.
I will advice you invest your money in landed properties. If you leave in cities like Port Harcourt I think you will understand what I mean.
A plot of land in Port Harcourt 7 years ago that was sold for #700,000 now goes for #18,000,000. If I lies call anyone you know in port Harcourt to confirm.

Though this rate of property appreciation is not everywhere in port Harcourt, but there are some areas where this happens.
The area a friend of mine lives, 4 years a go a plot of land there was #1.5mln, two and half plots were sold on the same street 5 weeks ago for #22mln naira.

So, poster, the pace at which properties are appreciating in some cities in Nigeria, should make young people who are making money whether legally or illegally (and wants to quit 419 activities), to invest those money in property business.

Read up about property business and do yourself good investing your money for your future.

Startups are risky investments not meant for risk averse young graduate. Start ups and Angie investments are more suitable for venture capitalists with good appitite for risks

Thanks for noting that. That is absolutely correct in terms of the risk-nature of start-ups.

If you do not have sufficient capital buffer to take the "potential" losses any start-up could suffer, then, it is not for you.

In actual fact, business at any level, particularly real sector businesses are not meant for risk-averse people. It doesn't matter how much capital you have, you wouldn't be able to take those risky leaps which are also potential fruit-bearing opportunities.

In every pain-staking endeavors lies huge opportunities.

If you are looking for safe havens, then go and put your money with the banks and they will keep them safe for you till as long as they are existing, and even pay you some interests on your capital- single digit interest rate per annum.

However, if you are looking at double-digit growth for your funds, then, its means taking risks and pulling some funds away from their comfort zones and investing wisely in stock-market, real-sector market and so on. These options could burn your funds and at the same time, yield crazy returns.

You have got to be deal with professionals (financial analysts, corporate lawyers, accountants) and be prepared to take those tough business decisions.

My take is this: Look to agribusinesses, real estate, food and beverage businesses, oil and gas, some tech-focused start-ups and draft a plan.
