The Lagos state government has stated it's plan to create free Internet service in the state.

According to Channels Television, the Permanent Secretary of Lagos State’s ICT Ministry, Mrs Nike Animashaun has revealed the State’s plan of providing Wi-Fi internet connectivity to residents.
According to her, the first phase of the Wi-Fi connectivity would be deployed at parks located in different parts of the state, which will include, Alausa, Ajegunle and Oshodi.

“The Wi-Fi services will be in some of the parks in the state and when it is deployed, residents of Lagos State would be able to access Wi-Fi in some of the parks,” Mrs Animashaun stated.
She added that the State Government came up with the idea to stimulate and encourage the interest of children in science and technology.

remember that tax is already being paid by all in one form or another...be it workers, sellers, companies, profits etc. am just wondering if it is a welcome idea to tax again where tax is already being collected
