Aliko Pls Buy Calabar Rovers...
I saw the amount he needs to buy Atsenal and I just thought within myself if he spent the .6 beside the 1.56b he needs to buy Arsenal on the Nigerian League, we will create more jobs, create more wealth, better redistribute it, bring back the lost glory of our football and generally make life better for at least one million Nigerians.

That said, Aliko is a private citizen and reserves the right to use his money anyhow he deems fit, more so if it is on a business transaction as lucrative as this. Buying Arsenal, will further put NIGERIA in the positive global light, it will improve tourism and also inspire more NIGERIANS to aspire, so in that vein I also support.

I used to be a strong fan of arsenal. I made it a point of duty to tour the Emirates every time I found myself in London. I entered their dressing rooms, sat on Wengers chair and even took a leak in the same toilet that Legends like Kanu, Viera and the rest usually use. But after ten years without a trophy, even the most patient of fans will be forced to reevaluate their position.

So just maybe this Dangote coming in would change the fortunes of the team as he would most likely bring in Keshi to replace Wenger. You see Wenger has passed his prime and the team needs the youthful sagacity of the Big Boss Keshi to make things happen. Keshi already speaks English with their accent, he understands modern football as he has coached in many powerful countries like Togo so he has my vote as the person that can end the drought in Arsenal. So my dear Aliko pls go for gold, let's buy arsenal and change the name. Let's give it a Nigerian Name like Zambia forest FCAM, change Emirate to Obalende stadium and show them that we are NIGERIANS and that we have come.

Empirical Evidence And My Madam...

I always knew that this madam will fall flat on her face. From the moment OBJ kissed and hugged her I knew that everything will soon come out in the open. I was with my new friend Olisa Adibua in his perfectly arranged house in Ikoyi watching the interview although not with my full concentration, I was wondering if Olisa will give m food or not when I saw her on stage with so many people surrounding her being interviewed by an Indian looking young man. I ask d Olisa how she got her funding to run this campaign and he said he was sure it was from international donor agencies so I just kept quiet.

I support her though. Yes we need to be shown empirical evidence of corruption not only by baba but by all being accused of not only corruption but especially infidelity. We have to reach a very high level of substantiation before we throw accusations. Just this night, I was accused of looking lustfully at the maid, I stood boldly and asked the accuser what empirical evidence she can show to prove her point and until she comes up with one, I did not look lustfully at the maid. That is it. That is the NIGERIA we should have. Going forward, anybody in his right senses wanting to accuse me of anything from cheating, to watching porn must come out with empirical evidence otherwise they should just shut up.

Thank you madam Oby. You have opened up a new line of Defence for people like us.

Chantal My Beautiful Damsel

Chantal is my beautiful daughter who attends Greensprings School. She lost her school jacket and for the first time, I saw her mum beat her. This thing pain me o, but I no fit talk, make them no stop to give me food for house. But seriously the issue of corporal punishment came up in my mind again. Is it the best way to instil discipline and bring up a child? Our parents did it, but did it work? The little success I have today, is it as a result of the harsh and almost Boko Haramish flogging I received or can it be attributed to my natural zeal to survive?

After the flogging, I called her and secretly hugged her. Tears in my eyes and a heavy heart, I asked her what happened. She explained that she forgot her key at home and as such could not lock her locker in school. Someone took her Jacket and she had been asking around for it. I told her not to worry that I I'll buy another one, but she said no that I should allow her suffer the consequences so that she will be more responsible next time. I did not know if it was the fear of the cane that was talking or if the cane had beaten responsibility into her. Any which way, I am not happy that my child has suffered physical assault.

So I am thinking, is corporal punishmentthe best way to train a child or is it not better to engage them rationally. The jury is out. But how can they be thieving in that kind school with the millions we dey pay as school fees. I tire o.

Hmmmm. I love this piece. The part on Oby & empirical evidence cracked me. As for corporal punishment & rational discussions, I think there should be a balance in the use of the 2. However, capital punishment should be within reason. My exact sentiment on Dangote's bid to buy Arsenal. The money is better invested in local sports infrastructure. However, as noted, Aliko reserves the right to use the money anyhow he likes. He ain't our elected philanthropist.
